Some people think it's pefectly legal to run lights on a bike.

Tax - Please tell me how what your car tax is based on?? Base my cycle tax on the same please, oh yes thats £0 per year then. Even some cars don't pay tax now??

When I was 18 on my way back from a work at like 2am in the morning with no other cars on the road. I went through a red light and had the old bill pull me over as they were sat there waiting for what must have been drunk drivers but still had a word with me...:p

Nothing I was just mentioning the fact that if the law sees you do it you will get pulled.

So someone has seen a cyclist go through a red light. I'm pretty certain every single person in here has commited an offence at some point in there life.

If you know the code then why dont you help the poster above you?

All cyclists should pay some type of road tax. You use the roads so you should be made to pay like motorists do.

You do realise as a council tax payer we do pay for roads.

"Road Tax" pays for motorways, although some funding does get shared around as well.

Based on emissions as well we would pay £0.

Used to drive central London quite a lot, used to drive me crazy, i'm on green and still having to dodge/avoid/slow down because a cyclist has run the lights and is coming at me. End of the day if i hit them i'd be the one getting ****** over by police, insurance etc

Hurray! The monthly anti-cyclists thread has appeared!

As someone who is a cyclist, a car driver and a pedestrian (usually all in the space of a week) let me tell you all a little secret - pedestrians, cyclists and car drivers all have their share of god damn retards. Now stop posting crap threads about this subject once a month.

Thanks in advance.

As a cyclist i have my cake and eat it, i do run a red light when i'm not causing any inconvenience. This is only because motorists are such farkin barstuards though.

INDICATE PLEASE OTHERWISE I HAVE TO STOP FOR NO REASON

and

STOP OVERTAKING ME ON ROUNDABOUTS.

As a daily, all-weather cyclist to work, it is one of my pet peeves seeing other cyclists jumping lights. I can't be bothered with the danger of doing it myself, but I do tend to catch them up before the next set of lights, overtake, and then strategically position my bike so they can't do it again - I may mumble something about them being red-green colour-blind...You do see it more often in summer, what with the huge influx of summer cyclists.

I do wish for jay-walking laws in this country though - the amount of pedestrians walking out in front, regardless of the static red man is obscene in London, especially in rush-hour (airzoom's are great for this though).

Minicab's and lack of indicating is my other pet peeve with motorists.

I cycle to work - it gets me really irrate when I see so many cyclists jump red lights, I often catch up to them and either pass comment or directly cut them up as it makes the rest of us look bad.

Don't get me wrong I've skipped onto the pavement or jumped a stupidly long waiting red light on a very quiet road (haven't we all) but something needs to be done about it because in my experience most drivers are courteous, law-abiding, and well aware of whats going on around them, the majority of cyclists on the other hand just don't seem to give a ****.

More fines and registration required for cyclist road users so if they get caught breaking the highway laws they can be BANNED.

Oh and the only thing that annoys me about motorists is their refusal to accept cyclist crossing into the middle and right of the lane(s) to turn right, WE ARE TRAFFIC TOO, just because you can normally overtake us in the regular flow of traffic does not mean you can continue to do so when we are attempting to turn right..

I'm amazed anyone cares too. It affects their life so little while they're sitting at a red light in their car. Surely there must be more important things to worry about, like picking their noses maybe?
