Well earlier Remedy dropped it on Facebook that they're working on an Alan Wake title for Xbox Live Arcade, and it's not DLC and it's deffo not Alan Wake 2.

Anyway, this is what they posted on Facebook:

Fans, Alan Wake returns through Xbox Live Arcade! Follow GameInformer.com on Monday for the first screenshot, and the 2011 Spike VGA's, December 10th, for more information on this Epic Adventure. Are you ready to become the Champion of Light?

And a few hours later, this is the image leaked on the internet:

Good times. Alan Wake is one of my favourite titles on Xbox 360, one of my favourite games thie gen actually.

I love alan Wake. Do we know anything about this? I hope it's not a 2.5D side scroller.

For me, part of the reason the game feels special is that (for those who don't know) this game was meant to be the next big PC exclusive years ago. I remember watching previews of Alan Wake and Bioshock 1 on the same day. when I finally got to play the game it actually felt slightly nostalgic as daft as that sounds. The game isn't quite what I expected but I still really enjoyed it. I like the cinematic atmosphere and that the cutscenes are short and relevant. I switch off the moment I hear things like "many years ago, out ancestors won some war" etc etc

Still to play Alan Wake, got it off eBay cheap but never mustered the courage to play it
I'm not a fan of scary games :o

It's really not scary. There was only one bit near the beginning that got me freaked out when Alice screams.

Alan Wake was awesome, after the 3rd chapter. It just took a bit too long to get going ! But when it did, it was superb. If they get the pacing of the game right I'll be all over this.

Can't wait for this. Some people say they don't like the first Alan Wake.. that it's too repetitive. They are wrong.

Alan Wake's new downloadable game will be called Alan Wake's American Nightmare. A debut trailer reveals that the game features an enemy named Mr. Scratch and the forces of evil once again being conquered by light.

No release window has been revealed, but the game will be an Xbox Live exclusive when it's released.
