How many USB?

So glad I bought my Samsung F3 1TB back in July for 38 quid, also just picked up a USB 3.0 WD Elements SE 1tb for 59.99 so I am sorted!

I think going into a bricks and mortar shop and buying an external 1tb or 2tb drive might be the way to go. A few of my mates have done this, and 1 picked up a 1.5tb iomega branded mutimedia yoke for around 70 euro. I think it turned out to be a WD or Seagate when he cracked it open.

I'll be waiting a while ebfore getting my 2tb drives, if only the 1.5 i purchased here a while ago didnt keep being DOA for me i'd be sorted.

I've read a few people are doing this. Might be the way to go if extra storage is needed urgently. I've got a 500gb that i can stick in my machine in the mean time (replace a dying 250 drive)

Anyone claiming profiteering by the suppliers (ie us) will get suspended.

This is the market now and without trying to sound too blunt.. Accept it.

It's blatant .................by most suupliers.....for shame!

Is that better Andrew?

how is it? dont you understand that the factory where parts for the HDD is ****ing underwater! and will likely remain that way for months.

so what does that mean? it means no new stock will be coming until well after xmas, demand is still high so the price rises - its not really that difficult to except is it.

I obviously made a bad post earlier by naming the commercial retailers of various hardware and other household equipment - As it was hashed out. So I apologise to the board admins for promoting direct competitors!

Bad me!

I've amended my previous post to fall in line with the board rules :)
