I thought I'd solved it last night by turning off HBAO or whatever it is - but then 2 games later came back with avengence

I can't remember seeing it first few days I was playing

it s more recently

edit - btw I'm on Nvidia 480 - so sounds like its not drivers if you have an ATI card ! :)

Ah I've been getting this as well. I get green flashes then the whole screen goes grey and locks up. This only happens every now and then but still very annoying. Mainly in aircraft oddly.

I'm on 11.10 drivers and still got it earlier today on Caspian Border.
 
I don't find it that bad. At least the game is playable, more than some releases!

I like the updated server filters. Quick browser updates are definitely a plus.
 
Its been a week and I cant stand it anymore! MP crashes my whole system resulting in a screen freeze and constant buzzing sound from the speakers. Hard reset is the only way to come out of it.

Fresh install of everything (including windows) wish they would patch it :( :( :( I've tried EVERYTHING, wondering if its a sound issue to do with the onboard Realtek chipset or something. Bah, im giving up trying to solve it and playing 15 mins on a game to loose all progress i make cause it crashes.

My system;

Core 2 e6420 @ 3.4Ghz
ATI 5870 1GB
4GB PC6400
Gigabyte 965P-DS3P Rev3.3
 
GTX460 runs it very well on high.

I must eat my hat, I hated BC2, But even though im only level 3 and dying far more than I would like to be, im loving this game.
 
btw I've put 10 hours into multi so far

and I'm not sure if I'm enjoying it or not

not sure -just find it a bit frustrating at times - lone wolfs - behind lines taking you out when you are trying to assault is very annoying - and very unrealistic

who would fly a jet just to jump out 30 seconds later over enemy lines lol

I find it annoying that if you spot someone who is doing that the triangle doesn't last long enough to let your team know someone is behind them. There should be a rough pointer on the map that lasts a bit longer so people can see roughly where enemies are coming from.

whats with the areas you can land in in planes/helis - that then are out of bounds foot soldier wise ?

ie you get out of helio you are in banned area

get back in and countdown stops ?

Felt exactly the same mate, but give it time and you'll enjoy it more. Best thing I did was jump on the ocuk mumble server and join those guys in some games, makes the whole thing a billion times better knowing you're all looking out for each other

I'm on 11.10 as well. I had it on the driver set I had before as well. I think it was 11.6, can't remember. Don't have any complete lock ups though. Just get random green flashing when moving, if I stop it goes away. No pattern to it at all, just comes and goes.

I will do :)

I have to say I preferred BlOps to BFBC2 :( this on the 360

yet I was always an original BF2 fan on the PC

I've a bad feeling going to feel the same way with MW3 - its not like I think X is technically better or more realistic etc - its not - but I just seemed to find Blops more fun

also I'm getting frustrated in BF3 that my most effective weapon is the RPG !!!! shouldn't be like that

5 RPGs carried ? seems too much for me
 
Updated Battlelog and now instead of 'disconnected from login server' I get 'disconnected from EA online' :(

Still yet to play a single second of multi yet. Sad times
