Just been playing this on PC and its a lot of fun, especially in 1080p.

Was thinking it might benefit from an xbox 360 controller for windows, but what should i go for, the wired one or the wireless?

I'm playing it with the wireless.

You need a wireless 360 controller for windows which comes with a USB reciever, and a charging kit + battery.

Not sure if you can get all of that in one pack though. The wired one is significantly cheaper though.

You don't need a charging kit and battery - I just have a couple of sets of AA batteries - one fully charged, one in use.

OCUK have the wireless one for £29.99, that comes with receiver and batteries as well. Wont be needing the charging kit too soon,

Think i should give that one a go?

If it was this one then yes - it is good. One of the best controllers you can get for PC gaming, as many new games natively support it

If you have normal rechargeable batteries that works too, but my pad went through 8 Energizer AAs in about 5 or 6 months so I bought the rechargeable kit.

The controller burns through AA batteries far too quickly.

Yeah ive got some rechargable AA's and charger, and some normal ones as well.

Should be ok in the meantime.

One more thing, Im using Windows 7 so will it just detect it or will i need to install drivers?

That would be nice if they gave the first act of Greenhill Zone as a demo on steam, but unfortunately no.

I have the wireless one, came with receiver only, no battery pack or charger (takes 2 AA batteries). Great bit of kit, would get a wired one tbh if I were to get another

Only have the wired one, it's cord reaches over to the couch so wireless is moot.

Game is a great blast from the past with a few new twists

I seem to remember a HD 2d version of Sonic having been released in the last couple of years. Was this ever out on the PC?

I personally use the wired controller.

As for the game, it's pretty good. I couldn't imagine it on a keyboard though.
