Favorite Bluray Boxset

From my collection Band of Brothers & Alien are the best overall price wise boxsets. Cheap but quality. The Star Wars and LOTR Extended boxsets are still very good but more expensive, but they have ridiculous length of extras but those who are interested in all the stages of production

Only blu ray boxsets I have. I would have got the Star Wars Trilogy before I found out what George Lucas did to them.
 
Another vote for Aliens. Brilliant box set. The Aliens film in particular is much more cleaner to watch. Alien looks stunning, the best of the box set to be honest.

Agreed, Aliens looks awesome on Blu Ray and sounds even better - the laser sweep at the start of the film makes a nice sub 'wump' in DTS-MA 5.1!

Also enjoying the Lost boxset as well, I think Hurley is hilarious.
 
I love the Alien movies, watched Aliens more times than I can count. In the 90's they had a national cinema day for a few years where cinema tickets were really cheap, me and a mate were lucky enough to get tickets to watch Alien in London and the chap next to me had never seen it - was great fun anticipating him jumping out of his seat through the movie! Also someone had a helium balloon in there and later in the film accidentally let it go, as it rose to the ceiling the entire audience clapped and laughed as everyone's tension was released simultaneously, a really nice cinema memory :) I've recently purchased a ps3 and was delighted to find the Alien Anthology blu-ray boxset brand new for £16.99!
