My dog is hiding under my desk shaking from the fireworks outside. Got him some calm down tablets, but they don't seem to be doing the trick. Feel sorry for him and not much I can do. Any tips for calming him down?

My dog just wants to kill them all, he's now completely worn himself out, and collapsed in a heap. Them not being scared but still reacting is still stressful for everyone. We've turned the telly up a lot louder than it normally would be, and put the surround sound on.

This sounds ridiculous but putting a Tshirt on the dog calms them down.

I have no idea how this works but it worked on my dog, my Mother musta seen it on some tv show or something.

Try it lol

Am currently trying to drown the sound out with a bit of chase and status through my 5.1's, not sure what he is more upset about to be honest :p

just fuss her. I'm not with my dog atm, but i'm 100% sure she is scared stiff an me ma is stroking her rofl

my dog doesn't bat an eyelid, she is completely bonkers though, she was terrified of a parked scooter the other day.

turn that turd off, put some Camo&Krooked on. A million times better than chase and status.

Slightly off topic - but I've just walked into my kitchen and our cat is sitting on the window sill watching our neighbours fireworks display

He is 16 years old now so he's probably thinking I've seen them all before :p

calm down tablets? :p is that the technical medical description? :D

Nothing we can do at the minute. My dog's exactly the same. Just keep fussing him and stick by him on the sofa.

+1

My dog was concerned for all of 30 seconds, now he is qutie content with going back to his 3rd favourite past time - licking his own balls. Past time #2 and #1 being eating and sleeping respectively.

His sister is sleeping through it all. Only occasionally wakes when there is a real loud one. In fact, I haven't seen her wake/demand food for almost an hour. Best go poke her in case she has died from shock?! :o
