I consider myself Christian, but I lean towards the "meh religion, just get on with life" side of Christianity, as opposed to the "get up early on sunday and listen to how I'll go to hell unless I worship a cloud" side.

I don't agree with organised religion either, but I believe we should be tolerant of other peoples beliefs and not belittle with them 
Though if you were just trying to wind some one up, then fine

But the amount of swearing, and promise of trolling in the future.... Well it doesnt look good for your account staying active long.
It wasn't aimed at you. I don't care if you're an atheist, a christian, a buddhist or whatever - but whoever you may or may not be, other people have to be accepting of that, and you have to accept that others hold certain beliefs themselves.

Sorry I often get confused when there is so many idiotic quirks contained within a single religion. I'm glad you pointed out that it wasn't the un-healthy fasting side of things and more celebrating a prophet with such poor morals that he was prepared to sacrifice his own son to a possibility of god.
Read the rules aswell as calling someone a nob-head isn't allowed, though I will let you off for being a bit of a noob.
I think a God that teaches that all life is sacred WOULDNT have let anyone kill a human being like that. if he did that, then perhaps muslims would have been killing their sons instead of an animal. This event was about a TEST of a Prophet by God.. and if you are a PROPHET, you don't question the command of GOD and as it happened, the knife went blunt and the prophet killed a sheep instead of his son... Happy Ending.. but if the Prophet wanted to disobey God, he would have.. infact the story (Islamic version at least) states that Devil tried to dissuade him from doing so and whenever the devil appeared, the Prophet threw stones at him to push him away.. hence why muslims throw stones at those places when they go for Hajj..

Why can't you just be the better person and show some tolerance, I'm sure most faiths/religions teach something along those lines.

There is nothing unhealthy about intermittent fasting or abstaining for set periods during each day. For fasting to effect your metabolism negatively you would need to fast for three solid days or more, and this is not what is happening.

I have a friend who lives in Qatar, and during their fasting times she can't been seen outside with food or she could be put to death (not sure how true that is) but she's white and english, why the hell should she live by their rules?

Wow, nice attitude with only 59 posts in? Second account by any chance or just aggressive?
that is what i was about to post.. us muslims should be more tolerant of Jews and Christians because while they dont believe in our version, we believe in Jesus/Isa (as) and Moses (as).. so we should show some restraint..
Remember how Prophet showed restraint when that lady was throwing rubbish on him every day? (remember the story?) that shows us no matter what we need to show kindness otherwise how do we expect people to even think that our religion teaches us good?
Much like a friend of mine. He found his faith (do you "find" faith? meh.) when his Granddad was about to die, but miraculously pulled through. He's still the same person, he just believes there's a higher force looking after us. And I fully respect that. What I love most about him is that he doesn't preach his beliefs onto me. He'll sometimes say "Roseanna, you're going to hell" in a goofy fashion but that's about it...

I didn't say you should. I agree that some people are being a little insensitive about the concept of religion, but you're being just as bad by bitching about their beliefs. Most of the guys posting in here aren't Christian anyway, but in answer to your question, Jesus was a human.

See this is what I've never understood, the devil offered Jesus food, the Devil tried to dissuade a man from killing his son, the devil got eve to eat an apple because, you know, it's an apple and was an utterly contrived test by god yet we all call HIM the bad guy...
By the way, no offence meant to people of any religion, believe whatever it is you like, I'm just here to point out a few reasons why I consider it so much waffle.
