Steve Jobs vs SAF

This...

Although as said previously... I'd rather have dinner with Steve than Alex, much more interesting (imo).

Can I ask what would be more interesting about Jobs? Maybe it's because I enjoy football a lot more than sparkly phones or computers but I don't see what would be interesting to talk about with him.

You can't compare Football to Apple.
Much of United's initial success was down to the hard work behind the scenes giving him the cash to purchase players with, in a time when they realised the potential marketing value of football world wide, and every other club got caught napping.

Ferguson is a great motivator, he is a bully, not a great tactician, time has proved he can win things his way, his greatest achievements was winning the CL twice and that was only just, 2 goals in last few mins and penalties.

Steve Jobs is the same, great motivator, never invented anything if I can recall, Ipod was the thing that got Apple back in the big time and he didnt even come up with the idea....the rest is history.

I dont think them being in charge changed them fundamentally, they got lucky, Jobs going back to Apple and having the chance to do what he wanted and Fergie and his kids and wealth from winning everything in the mid 90s.

Again both are vastly different, I don't really get the hype with Steve Jobs. He was just the door to a company, the real innovators were the engineers obviously. People don't realize that though, anyway I can't really comment on Ferguson. I don't follow any sport.

Jobs did have many of the apple patents in his own name, or licenced his own to apple or similar.

Both of them are heroes to me!

Although I'd probably like to sit down and talk to Steve more to discuss the success of Apple since his return and where he wants the company to go into the future, oh and we could laugh at how bad Android is.

:p

Really guys? So Steve Jobs was just rather lucky that apple have magical designers and engineers that no other company has had over the last 20 odd years.

His attention to detail and ability to recognise and guide design and function was second to none. Both SAF and SJ were / are great leaders in their respective fields and you cannot have the influence or longevity of control in their industries by being a mug.

Its become cool to hate on apple and Steve Jobs recently but the iphone is still the best phone out there and there is a good reason they have so many happy customers. My mum has just been given my brothers 3gs and loves it. It is the first phone she has ever been impressed by and found intuitive.

What an awful question.

Alex Ferguson is clearly the 'better' of the two. Steve Jobs, well, I have nothing nice to say about him. Just your typical talented rich person exploiting the poor to make money. Scum, basically.

Try and have a bit of sense. The whole world is run like that. Every government in the world takes advantage of the less well off and so does every major corporation. Stop jumping on the bloody Steve Jobs hate wagon. Its just makes you look like an ill informed sheep.

Apple is a product, its nothing more nothing less, same with Man United, on your death bed you wont want to encounter either!
