Things move quickly around here.

I haven't been ignoring anyone btw. When playing CODW@W Origin won't show me popups. I was in a scrim last night against a US clan and all I could hear was this pinging noise. Lol.

My three peneth worth. Team name OCUKFC or OCEUFC or OCFC

Just a suggestion, I think it would be good if we could all use Teamspeak/Ventrilo or another VOIP system. This would be better for communication on pitch. Just my opinion.

Hope to get an invite soon.:)

I signed up for jonneymendoza's team but never played, I am interested in playing though. Origin ID is danswan1973. Mondays and Saturdays I can play, although this week I can play Tuesday too.

I think also at some point in the future it might be good to create a unique custom tactic, but its not a big deal right now.

I was wondering why you kept going on and off, origin is a right pile of poop.

I'm up for some games, would be nice to have a few more on, jambo, kami et al if your reading this come on for at least the first game, would be a shame to play the first game without some of the guys who became core baguio regulars.
 
Good games and excellent turn out guys, some great football and enjoyable games that usually end up becoming frustrating cos we don't make enough of our dominance, hopefully we can improve our finishing and finals balls, if we score enough then we can get away with defensive howlers. EA managed to spoil a few games with the **** servers crapping out.

Enjoyable night none the less and hopefully more the same to come :)

I really enjoyed it, looking forward to getting some more game time, it's completely different from single player though. I think we need to settle on a style of play and all work to it, that team that had the giant and the midget up front weren't better than us, but they had a tactic and sticked to it, and it worked for them.

Still not sure I like being a striker though, loads of running around and not much of the ball lol, I need to practice keeping the ball.
 
A couple of things of note - not aimed at any individual.

The servers are benig a sack of ****. I've port forwarded this morning to see if it helps but frankly, I doubt it. The fact I had to rename my UG <blah blah> file in My Documents to stop the game quitting when trying to enter the dressing room shows what a mess EA have made in certain areas.

Formations: We MUST stick to 2-3 formations and not keep switching. For my mind, 4-1-2-1-2 OR 4-3-1-2 should be one option, 4-3-2-1 should be another and there should be a third. Just as constantly switching position doesn't help everybody, nor will constantly changing formations. Plus, with the servers being so awful lately we need to be getting into games a lot faster than we did last night.

Finally, it seems obvious pass8move (who are you? :>) favours the left side over the right and I prefer the right over the left (but prefer playing in the centre most of all). Assuming - and the assumption is huge - that there are people who don't have a preference it might occasionally be worth making sure those of us who feel we aren't good down a particular side don't have to play there unless it can't be helped. Not saynig we should never take those roles of course and if everyone has a preference then undoubtedly we all have to be on a side we don't like once in a while and that is fine.

That said, good enough last night and the general play was fine but I'm not always in favour of using a single striker with wingers unless we've got the big, fat man in attack which we did end up with last night.

Agree with this, a quick couple of minutes to discuss what we are doing and then gogogo lol. Pretty sure we spent more time in the lobby than on the pitch last night for multiple reasons and I need the practice :D
 
I quite like playing out wide right, managed to start getting balls into the box last night when we played down the flank.
I think we actually worked really well together and were the stronger team in most matches, its just a case of nailing a formation and sharpening up in front of goal.

That last formation, the xmas tree one.. utter tripe mind.

Finally got my controller sorted, so how do I apply. I'm down for a few games a week, will play anywhere on the park. :)
