Looking for a new mouse within the price range, ideally to match the sidewinder x4 keyboard

Thanks :)

Bit of detail...was in a rush earlier.
Been looking at the deathadder and boogie bug pad combo, but with the new xxl pad out i want that instead (plus people say the deathadder isn't all good). I was looking at the rat 5/ 7, but is there any other mouse that's better within the same price range ?

I am slightly gutted I missed a certain blue shirted retailer selling the MS Sidewinder X8 for £25, so I am going with the RAT 5 in a few weeks. I found you can get the Black Ops version for the same price too :)

I have the Deathadder and would not swop it for anything, it's comfortable for extended use and has very accurate tracking.

I do love my Kinzu, fits my hand nicely and hasn't given up yet! Deathadders are a good choice though :)

Same place as I got my keyboard from on Friday for £25, I had a play with the X8, but I didnt like it, pictures "big it up" a lot.

I wouldnt be to bothered, I have an X8, its the worst mouse I've ever had.

I'm replacing it with a Roccat Kone+ when it arrives.

Taking a gamble with the Kone, as I hear the the build quality is a bit suspect, but I'm thinking it cant be any worse than this x8 which mangages to combine poor build quality (LMB doesnt work half the time, randomly dumps its charge, on a mouse less than 2 months old) with poor response.

The Steelseries Xai is a good mouse, the Roccat Kone+ is also a solid mouse. It depends on what type of grip you have, also what games you play?

Right now, nothing, so general use. Come end of the month/ Christmas, Ill have my new GPU, so BF3, Skyrim, etc... will be on the cards.

What do you mean by grip? as in what mouse shape or overall size?

the grip is the way you hold a mouse, im not sure of all the different ones but there are some pretty peculiar ones for sure.

Ahh right, well I guess Ive got a normal grip? :p

I hate the fact that Ive got massive hands, my little finger drags everywhere. I do like the way you hold the RAT series, so I might just end up getting the RAT 5, seeing as its pretty much the same as the 7 without the swappable palm rest.

There is the claw grip or the palm grip. The Logitech G9x is a claw and the G500 is the palm, they are the same inside but have a different grip style.

OK.... I'm being completely serious. Every swanky gaming mouse i've tried, always go back to the one and only:

Microsoft Intelli Explorer 3.0

Nuff said.

i have a rat 5 and its amazing, works perfect and its so accurate. the buttons are easy to reach and the fact that you can add weights and extend the back is great. love the thumb rest also as my thumb usually drags on the mat causing the mouse to move slower but not the case with the rat 5

I used to have and it was fantastic. I been looking for the black model at a reasonable price but they appear to have been discontinued. I have used a friends RAT 5 and I am quite impressed, so unless the Intelli 3.0 turns up I will go with the Black Ops RAT 5.

a lot of people have said about the black ops RAT 5, but I can only find it on the RAT 7
