Hi guys,

I have a GTX570 reference and I used to use it on just 1 1440x900 monitor. It would be at around 38-40c Idle.

Now I have plugged in a crappy old 1280x800 to have TS3 and e-mails on and stuff, and now my card is 53c idle?

What the hell is going to happen when I start up BF3?!?

Does sound a little hot to me.
Is the fan at 40% idle?
Is there plenty of airflow in your case?

Not a lot etc will happen, I bet if you look at the cards clock speed it's running faster with two monitors connected than with just one (hence the extra heat). Nothing to worry about.

Yes mate 40% idle. Ramp it up to 60% and it goes down to 42c.

Coolermaster 690II advanced with gentle typhoons and akasa venoms, so yeah plenty of airflow.

Sorry mate didn't say I have them both plugged in, unless you knew that?

Oh so you have 2 monitors?

That's fine then :)

As mentioned above, the card will not downclock to full 2D clocks with 2 monitors plugged in.

What are the 'safe' temps of a 570 these days? I think in BF3 with these 2 screens running it may get a bit spicy!

95ish

I turn my second screen off as it's a distraction.

My cards reach round 85 de
