Hi all,

I can't get HDMI audio working out of my 4890 and am assuming it's because of the DVI->HDMI cable I have (it has all pins but that doesn't seem to matter).

I don't remember getting an HDMI cable with the card so does anyone know where I can get the proper cable or adapter please?

At the moment it's just saying "Not plugged in", I've tried both ports.

Many thanks!

Hey,

It needs to be the right ATI adapter (the one that you get with your card), the ATI one is the only one that converts DVI to HDMI sound... mine says ATI on the adapter.

Hi Stelly,

Cheers but the only adapter I got with my card was the DVI splitter to 1xDVI,1xVGA. :/

Is there somewhere I can get a hold of one of these adapters? Google is failing me. :(

I suppose I could try emailing Sapphire...

I got mine from eBay, same product as Stelly linked was a few pounds and has been working fine for a year or so.

I wanted to swap my 5770 (in media PC) with a 4850 in one of the guest gaming PCs but I had the same problem, tried 4 different adapters.

I've ordered one now. Just had a rummage through all my cables/adapters that I keep in a box and it's definitely not there, so I either didn't get one or I've lost it. :(

Bah!
