Lanyard for my security pass :D

I am finally starting a job in IT and the lanyards we get at work are cheap and **** and they rub against your tie and make it all clooked (I think is the word is). I work as security there just now so I get all the complaints.

I was 100% sure I have a Razer one in the house but I can't find it any where!

All I require is something that looks good :D

A few cable ties all put together, some elastic bands (these can be found for free around the streets where the postmen leave them)
Or paperclip it to your shirt. Many many options.

We have little auto-winder jobbies that clip to the belt buckles on your trousers. Far better than lanyards IMO.

My company also has a health & safety policy which states that all lanyards must have a "break-out" in them to stop them throttling you if they get caught in equipment. Nonetheless, it didn't stop them giving away some freebies for a recent safety presentation in which the lanyards didn't have break-outs. Oh, the irony. :)

Are you ****ing kidding me?

OcUK are making some, although this was 'in the works' back in 1994!

Some things you could use around your neck in the meantime:
  • An inflatable haemorrhoid seat.
  • A spare tyre.
  • A draped homeless.
  • Tinsel.
  • The imagined remnants of your own failures.

Doubt it. This is the inane nonsense that is GD. It's as if no one can make a simple decision for themselves these days without telling everyone... Blame the Facebook/Twitter generation TBH

No sure why you need to be such a drama queen, his post wasn't that bizarre. Oh, and fully star out any swearies - you know the rules :)

I have!

Maybe it's cause I'm edgy in the mornings, but opening the GD to someone asking for a Lanyard, enough to send any cranky so and so over the edge.

I'm waiting for the day I see a thread named 'Which hand should I be wiping my arse with?'

Now, where were those razor blades...

I like CSI, so got something related to it :p It's bright yellow as well so when I do place it down as it can get in the way when working it doesn't escape the corner of my eye when I leave the server room or wherever :p

Did you just refer to IT people as possibly being "geeky"?

Any more shocking revaluations?

Lol.
