at home, you?
OK so, a normal case, left handed opening panel/door orientation, why do they still make these? why haven't they all done the right thing and swapped sides, so the mobo is upsidown and let us see our gfx card goodness, im pretty sure that a fair amount of people will agree, that in the standard orientation, you do not get to see the nice part of your gfx card, now i only know of a couple of cases that are different, and in the right way round that im looking for myself in a case, although, the flipside to this would be, why dont gfx card companies flip their coolers onto the other side of the board?? it would make much more sense to do either of these things, there may be some reason for it, but if im honest, i cant see why pc cases are the way they are.

Card makers can't put the cooler on the other side in case it is installed in the first slot of a motherboard (could collide with cpu cooler, can't exhaust heat directly out of the case). ATX is an ancient standard and enthusiast cases are niche products which is why most are still cpu on top.

I agree with you 100% OP

Some gfx card manufacturers need to start doing this or making mobos that allow this to be done.

Aren't Lian-Li cases "upside-down"?
Mine wasn't, PC7Fb.

I've nevery really understood the fascination with looking inside cases anyway so it doesn't other me in the slightest.

It looks cool especially if there is some lighting inside and you can see if fans are working or not and also inspect dust build without having to take the panel off and move the case.

It's just better for convenience and design especially if you've got a nicely laid out interior. A lot of enthusiast cases are polished aluminium or matte black inside and looked superb when nice components are installed inside them and the cabling tucked away. *hugs Corsair 650D*.

I don't understand, what is considered upside down to you? Fine as it is, what's so hard about looking into that side of the case, got it against a wall/cupboard? oh well.
