Zalman ZM-F3, Scythe S-Flex, Akasa Viper's for raw performance.

For smoother sounding/quieter fans, Deepcool UF-120/140, any Noctua's, Bequiet SilentWings, any Gentle typhoons, Akasa Apache, TY-140.

I've used the GT 1850 and the Viper and both are very good, but PWM control on the viper made the viper win for me. I have my Vipers running at 600rpm at idle and max rpm at load.

This makes them perfect case fans for me, if the GT had PWM they would be perfect.

I've been persuaded to go for the Vipers after all the feedback here. Will add them on my list to Santa

Just wondering how long the 3-pin cable is on the Vipers? Would like to route them neatly around my case so just wondering whether I should pick up some extension cables as well? Cheers!

The Vipers are PWM fans (4pins), though should still work with a fan controller, I use them myself, really, really god fans. As for the cable, I'd say it's about 20cm maybe? Difficult to judge without a ruler
