hope someone can help me out , i bought a EVGA GeForce GTX 570 HD 2560MB of a m8 who won it in a competition and sold me it for £150 (bargain :p), what i want to do is get another card to sli them ,do i have to get the same card or could i buy one of these below to run sli

No, the cards youve linked are gtx 560's. For sli you need another gtx 570 with 2.5gb of ram.
 
same card doesnt have to be the same make althought i think onyl the evga cards come in 2.5gb version :) use thwe one you have for now and then get another when that isnt doing its job :)
 
thanks for the info guys ,i have only had ATI and i wasn't sure about Nvidia ,
thought i got a bargain but thinking about it im regretting it now
 
You sure you wouldnt rather have it on its own? You could easily use it for now, and still get £150 for it later on.

No way not ebay, 10% of the final value plus insertion fees plus Paypal.....get some posts under your belt and put it in the members market.

£150 for a 2.5Gb GTX570 is the steal and is more then enough for todays games.
 
Point of View do a 2.5gb card, infact they do a whole range. I bought the 'Beast' version recently.

Buy one of those (not necessarily the beast version) and SLI it?

what i do with the card is up to me and yes we are good mates ,he was going to give me the card only because i have helped him in the past by that i mean i supported him when his wife died 2 years ago ,i put food on his table when the pit strikes were on the go , he had no income coming in what so ever, guess there are members on here who gone through this back in the day and know how hard it was ,
so when he offered me the card for nothing i told him i would give him half the price of what its worth with him being unemployed at the moment ,so when you say and i quote ''Real mate that is'' i dont think im that bad am i ?

if i wanted to add another two screens would this 570 card run them or would i have to have a second card , i had a 6950 toxic and that ran the three screen ok

Assuming you want to run 3 monitors together for gaming then you'll need to add another card in SLI.

A single GTX 570 will only run 2 monitors.
