I think the point Fox was making though is that it wasn't "cheap", but yet is a cheap looking, cheaply made car.
Think about how much it actually cost, not per month, but outright. Now imagine that you'd taken a loan for that amount instead, paid the same (or less) monthly, but bought something "better" outright.
