If we did something on a similar level in the middle of Baghdad we'd be stoned to death. A ban is the absolute minimum in my opinion.
Surely that is the point though? We do not like nor want to be that sort of culture?

Ugh stuff like this makes me sad to be asian when i have idiots like this bringing the rest us down.
I don't like them or what they stand for, but there's two things - the right to protest and the right to an opinion. Just because we don't agree with their views doesn't mean we should ban them. It's hypocrisy that groups like the EDL, whilst under strict surveillance, are allowed to do virtually the same thing but at the other extreme end.
True but EDL only formed due to the rise of Sharia law and Islamic extremism in England, do you think people just set up groups like this for fun and they are bored, they have a real meaning but its hijacked by a lot of misguided people that see it as right to attack people,
We should be sitting down with all the groups and talking about why they dislike the UK and its policies. Then you have groups like Unite Against Fascism being all liberal and saying "its ok"

I don't really support this, it's kind of infringing on their right to protest. I dislike the group but I don't think groups should be banned just because they are controversial.
There is a difference between controversial and a clear intent to incite hatred, which is what they are doing.

Good start.
Now we just need to authorise the execution of these moronic, evil retards and all will be well.
Fella there's protesting and there's burning poppys and flags. Sing dance and wave placards all they like but you start to deface national symbols that have meaning to people and your intentionaly crossing a line..
As has been mentioned though, it's a very short term answer, a new name will see them back "protesting"![]()
There's more to it than just the poppy-burning. Al-Muhajiroun was banned for glorifying terrorism (e.g. Mohammed Atta and the gang were called the Magnificent 19) and MAC is the same group under a different name, according to the Home Office.I don't really support this, it's kind of infringing on their right to protest. You might want to get your facts straight before you start claiming to be the font of all knowledge on the subject.
So the EDL was formed because of Sharia law and Islamic extremists?
What about the BNP? What about the NF in the 70's? or are they all a bi product of eachother with fine lines between all of them? I completely agree with everything you said in the OP but you're just talking **** again now.
Why is it ok for the EDL to behave the way they are, and not MAC?
I am not even sure if burning poppies and flags are illegal, might be considered as inciting racial hatred.. I don't really care that someone is burning a poppy, people just need to man up and see that being offended should never warrant the censorship of others. It does not mean that their views should be censored by the state. If offensive views were banned then I am pretty sure that a large majority of civil rights movements would have never have had happened.
If some of them are breaking the law then they should be punished.
Fine lines? So just because one group hates all coloured people no matter what and another group hates extremist religious groups that has a high membership of coloured people, then those groups are all the same?
Then let the members be prosecuted for it, not everyone in the group will hold the same views and perform the same actions..
Loads of other minority groups who might seem to be "inciting hatred" such as EDL, why aren't they banned?
We are not a free country if we ban controversial opinions, especially banning groups which only a few of the members commit crime.
