Hey, i am currently using 1x1gb of kingston hyperx ram (ddr2), windows 7 with various editing software/games. Has been running fine up until now. Think its time i have a mini upgrade (towards xmas/new years anyway).
Now is it worth me picking up a ddr 4gb hyperx kit for around £55 or should i maybe spend a abit more and get a ddr 3 board and fill it with ram (as the ddr3 ram prices are quite low at the moment).
What do you lot think? if the latter recommendations of board etc? i have a cheap but new sound card (Asus Xonar DG 5.1 PCI Sound Card) and my processor is an Intel Q6600 (i am quite happy with this).
Thanks.
Current specs
Corsair TX 650W ATX SLi Compliant Power Supply
Kingston HyperX 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-9200C5 1150MHz
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 "Energy Efficient SLACR 95W Edition" 2.40GHz
Asus P5Q-E Intel P45 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
Asus ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI/HDMI (PCI-Express)
used for abit of everything, struggles a little with games at the moment (seems to crash or loose video randomly nowadays).
