Lets keep it simple - new rig... SLi in future:

GFX Decision:

eVGA GeForce GTX 570*HD Graphics card -*2.5 GB*- GDDR5 SDRAM
eVGA*GeForce GTX 570*Graphics card - 1.25 GB - GDDR5 SDRAM
MSI N570GTX Twin Frozr III Power Edition/OC Graphics card
Asus*GeForce GTX 570*742MHz 1280MB PCI-Express HDMI (DirectCU II)

- Is 2.5GB required really?
- MSI way more expensive that the eVGA 1.25? Why is this?

Swaying towards the eVGA 1.25gb due to cost.

RAM
Corsair Vengeance
Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB

- These are basically the same so i'll just go for cheapest
- Question - 8gb or 16gb? is 16gb just OTT?

MOBO
Asus P8Z68 Deluxe S1155 Intel Z68 DDR3 ATX
AsRock Z68 Extreme7

- I dunno about this... the AsRock is about £40 more expensive but has x16/x16/x0/x4 for when I SLi, Asus has x16/x0/x4 or x8/x8/x4. Now... i dont know what these numbers mean really, the PCI-e speed or something... will it make a huge difference to SLi performance? A £40 difference? :)

I know there are a load of these threads so sorry, but appreciate your help.

go for the evga unless your gaming on multiple monitors or 27"+ screen.

go for the Kingston HyperX, none of the tall heat spreaders, 8gb should be fine, depends what your likely to use the system for.

either mobo will be fine x16/x16 or x8/x8 not really likely to notice any difference unless you benchmark.

spending that much on the mobo make sure its gen 3 :).
