Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Nothing yet.

x2 heard it doesn't activate until sunday? 13th?

A review on game though I quite like it it's pretty solid and feels more SOLID than MW2 a lot more realistic feel to it. Alough maps do feel slightly crowded at times, even on team deathmatch spawning close to enemy etc which I'd agree but it isn't as bad as some people made out? but I can imagine free for all being a nightmare.

Campaign completed, done it on veteran, overall was pretty good not absolutely amazing but still pretty good. Really liking special ops though.

Servers seem a bit crap on the PS3, laggy and not many games found for some weird reason, but will no doubt be patched. Bullets sometimes don't register which I have seen as well. Pretty frustrating but can imagine all will be addressed in the patch.

Its a bit mental, after BLOPS then shifting to Gears3 the gameplay of MW3 is a little overwhelming; particularly as I dont have the double power bullets the enemy seem to have....

Still don't understand why a lot of you guys post up about doing the campaign in veteran, I did this game in normal and enjoyed all 4 hours or so of it, i think i did mw2 on vet and found it tiresome at best. I noticed a few of the guys that "do it on vet" are also the ones that say stats dont mean didly squat. o.O Im confused

You do it on Vet for the challenge? I know I do... I play on a normal/medium setting, then if i found it fun, I go backand do it on Veteran mode to test myself!

Finished the game on Vet, much easier than any of the others everywhere except the last sequence which took me over 50 tries because the imaginary line wouldn't check point until I laid down.

I really enjoyed it though despite it not having any real stand out moments and lots of areas where you seem detached from the game. Like when you are following a team mate or carrying a team mate you know you can't die you just push forward on the stick. Cinematics and level intros carry the game for me, they are stunning.

The game took me 10h 25 mins on vet but over 2 hours of that was the last level. For around 10 of the levels I hardly died or only a couple of times. I'd say apart from the last sequence Vet on this is comparable to Normal/Hardened on the others. You take a lot of first bullet damage but can take longer to get into cover than the others.

It's a challenge rather than just running in and shooting back

i still think vet is a waste of time,i did abit on waw and blops, and i found it frustrating. Its not that its hard it just makes the game slow, and i find my self shooting then hiding to recharge health every 30 seconds. Its more to do with patients and perseverance,id rarther bash through it on normal then hammer MP

I complete it on normal, then I go back and get the achievements for doing certain things on the missions, then after I have got those I play the missions to try and get through it on vet. I find that the most enjoyable way to play.

Its a waste of your time as you are impatient :p

I still haven't got my copy from a Tesco pre-order.

I started it on Hardened and it seems more like Normal. I might leave it now until an Intel Locations guide is up. The campaign maybe short to play though comparatively, but an awful lot goes into it. It's a shame not to do it more than once imo. Really enjoyed doing MW again, but 1st time on a console.

WAW was so frustrating on vet, especially the trench mission.I think that's the reason i hate veteran, grenades just landing at your toes :(

I thought the mission before downfall on waw was crazy where you have to blow up them guns as you make your way to the reichstag building , on the hardest difficulty you would get spammed with grenades from everywhere when you went to plant explosives on them  think it is the only cod mission i never did on vet but i arent a great player either though :p and at least in the trench mission you could use smoke grenades which i found to work pretty good .

You sure there isnt a intel guide up already there is usually someone with one straight away , only played multiplayer but i will give the campaign a bash at the weekend .

Having said that, I've just got to a part that is doing my head in, jumping onto the back of a pickup and using the turret, seem to keep getting killed although didn't give it that much of my time.

Yes there do seem to be some now 1 and 2 days old on'tube, but I'm busy leveling up my MP, Spec Ops and Split screen player. The MOAB double XP is kinda handy with the latter.

I only complete the game on Veteran for the trophies. It doesn't even take more skill, just more patience.
