Dell Outlet - Extending the warranty after purchase

If there is somewhere better for this, please move it :).

Basically, I was looking at buying a laptop from dell outlet but didn't want to have to pay for the extended warranty at the same time as the laptop (it added about another £165 to the price).

There is more information about what I had to do previously in this thread, but below is the log from the online chat with someone from Dell Outlet Sales.

I could find very little on the subject beforehand so hopefully, this will be helpful for anybody else in a similar situation. I would say depending on how soon you read this that it might still be worth trying to have a chat with them, just to confirm this is still the case (and that they haven't changed their policy or something). This is the link I used to open the chat.

This helps to confirm from 2 different Agents at Dell, that Warranty Extensions can be applied to Dell Outlet laptops, within the first year of it's Standard Warranty. Warranty Extensions as shown in the OP, extend the warranty to a maximum of 3 years. 2 years actual extension + the current 1 year warranty already included.
