Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Sadly, I'm glad I didn't buckle to the pressure and get this. Shame. Has been such a great game over the years but they didn't take it in a good direction.

Might have a look when it's cheap.

Yep, I did a level where I wasn't sure where to go by crawling up the right hand side hitting imaginary lines to trigger the AI forward. As I said I enjoyed it but you know what you are getting with COD campaigns. Dated gameplay, run to triggers to stop spawning or move your team forward and iffy AI.

It's kind of like turn your brain off gaming like Arnie films where in the 80's. Technically crap but enjoyment you don't have to think about.

Time constraints show badly on this one, the levels where you call in heavy back up are very easy and you are in no fear of death. There really isn't a good vehicle level either.

I had two issues the whole game, getting to the jeep at the escape on stronghold and the final section. I'm starting to think the final section was because I was rushing when I didn't need to. I'm unsure whether they stop spawning or not.

I managed to collect all the intel except the last two on Vet, normally I'd have to reduce the difficulty and go back for them. On this one I could cross a warzone to pick one up and not die.
 
SOrry ive not read through any of this topic, Ive just opened my copy of MW3 and tried the multiplayer but everytime its coming up with
The call of duty Modern warfare 3 server is unavailable at this time. PLease try again later.
Now when i visit the status site its saying all is ok.
ANyone else havign this issue or just me??

maybe people have finally got fed up playing a re-skinned game every year with little or zero improvements. For me i enjoyed cod 1,2,4, it has become too arcade like for me with its twitch shooting and the maps now are too tiny for my liking

Personally there just doesn't seem like enough change to justify the price. I have got every single one on day of release before but still not feeling the urge to get it.

I am sure it is great fun to play like all the other games but it just seems like a giant map pack. Doesn't really offer anything new or improved.

Blackops added new things never seen before. But still keeping to its roots. What does this new version offer over the other games?

If you like MW games I am sure you would like it either way but I got rid of Blackops because I got bored of it. Don't see the point of replacing it with something virtually the same.

I am loving ground war. Still trying to work out my fav gun,still swear at the screen in frustration, still smile seflfishly to myself when things go right. Loving some maps, others not so much. Still pies me off trying to work out how good some people are but every now and then it comes together and I end up top. To
me that's what a game should be about!
 
Mixed feelings so far. It's good and fun but i don't really notice any difference from MW2. Glad i bought it as no longer have MW2 anyway but i really don't feel like this is a new game.

I think it's more the menu system and sound effects - it all looks exactly the same - surely these would have been easy things to update?

Will be jumping on later for some more games but i think BF3 might be on my xmas list!
