Your account has been selected to participate in an upcoming Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ Beta Weekend Test. If you have previously tested or are currently participating in an ongoing test, you will be invited again. Additional details for this upcoming test will be announced soon.

As part of this test, we will be partnering with games industry sites to distribute additional beta codes as necessary. This will help ensure we meet our population goals, so we can effectively stress test our servers in preparation for launch. Please do not acquire and redeem one of these codes as it could jeopardize your ability to participate in this test.

As a reminder, should you choose to participate, everything associated with this test (game information, process, forums communication, etc.) is confidential and may not be discussed outside of the Game Testing forum. Additionally, your participation in the Game Testing Program is subject to the Game Testing Agreement.

At first I was like :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

But then I realised the test will most likely fall on the weekend of 19-20.11 when I won't have internet connection as I'm moving house, so turned :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

When everyone in the swtor community raved about how there wouldn't be any sort of open beta or large scale invite. Like he said, it isn't in the traditional sense, open.. but it seems everyone who wanted in, got in? I don't know anyone who isnt now, including all our multiple accounts.

Except they didn't listen or read that he made a mistake in his wording by saying there will be a closed beta near release, but there has been a closed beta since the beta began.

The email also says that keys are going up on other sites which sounds like my take on open betas of the past... fileplanet, mmorpg keys with big flashy "Open Beta" headlines.
 
AHHHHHH!

Just got a weekend beta invite! END THE MAINTENANCE ALREADY!
I've got a 3Mbit connection to download this game before the weekends out! :(
 
yeah, whats worse than not getting a beta invite? Probably getting a beta invite for an indeterminite weekend because now you gotta wait for WHEN you can play. im starting to veer towards the 'is a 30gb download worth a weekend' when theres so much other stuff to play right now? Ill probably do it anyway.
 
Mine says in progress also, plus I received the weekend beta invite.

Wasn't sure if it was for the weekend only when I received it yesterday. Really happy that I can take my time and test more of the game now.
