First Motorbike off this morning Insurance questions

I think its past that point now. Its been over a year.

If "but she stopped to give details" was enough, it wouldn't have gone this long.

Yeah makes me really angry stuff like this, people don't even have the decency to take responsibility for their mistakes no matter how badly anyone else has to suffer.

thanks for the words of support guys. absolute nightmare, there insurance even had the gall to make an offer tto me, the offer was for me to withdraw my claim :(

not looking good, going to go to court though i think my lawyer seems to think on the balance of probabilities we have a chance as my photo shows the bike marks on tthe road which is a straight bit of road, so why would i fall off ?

however her defence is impeccable.

If I saw someone fall off behind me, I would help as much as I could but I certainly wouldn't be giving them my insurance details! As an innocent bystander, you wouldn't have any liability unless your help had actually made things worse!

What a *****! Some people are unbelievable.

This is exactly why I think those little cameras with rolling 10 minute storage are invaluable. You only have to have this happen once and it's paid for itself.

I hope she get's hung out to dry. However I don't think you have a strong enough case but I wish you all the best with it anyway :)

feel sorry for you dude.

still dont understand why giving insurance details is not admitting that a incident between the 2 parties has taken place?

I wish you all the best but like BennyC I don't think you're going to get the outcome you deserve,

And on that note, trying not to sound keyboard warrior-ish, I would be seriously considering a bit of criminal damage as an alternative plan, scum who lie after causing an accident kinda deserve whatever they get...

No idea if I'd ever follow through with any idea's like that if I was in your situation though, probably not, I would definitely be thinking of them though.

well guys all done and dusted, apparently due to my stubborness to accept anything less than it being her fault, and the fact that overall it was a low value claim, there solicitors have paid out in full

so im now £6k better off

result, not expected but a happy ending !

according to bikelawyer, even had it gone 50/50 in court there costs would have been way higher than the amount they settled for, so it seems like a win by default, however I'll take that :p

Wow

Serious congratulations, i never would have dreamt that fighting it would have got you anywhere after reading so many tales of woe on the internet.

Pretty epic win I'd say. In future, when someone toddles off and says they'll contact you later, always make sure you get a copy of a police report before they leave. :) Giving people time to make stories is stupidity.
