Home cinema in lounge project....help!

All corner sofas aside, did you consider my previously mentioned in the corner on the right side of the bay, they you could still have the projector screen in the bay when you want to use it?

All corner sofas aside, did you consider my previously mentioned in the corner on the right side of the bay, they you could still have the projector screen in the bay when you want to use it?

Can you explain this a little more?

Do you mean having a corner sofa opposite the main door? To the right of the bay window as you look towards it?

The is a large radiator running along the right side as you look at the bay window, which limits things around it.

Yeah that is what I meant, wasn't sure if you could negotiate the stuff that is around there.

I thought if you had it in that corner on a diagonal, it might work without you having to have it in the bay or flush against the wall. Depends on how big a TV stand you go for as well o'course =]

Well as I said, the main issue in that corner is the radiator, I don't really want to put a sofa over the front of it, or a tv!

Might need to go for having it offset in between the doors then, over being flat against it. It allows for the tv to point out to more of the room..

Had any more developments of your own?

At the moment I'm leaning towards a mix of the two ideas!

I don't think an L shape sofa will work, so having a 3 and 2 seater sofa (arranged in an L shape!) will give the same splitting of the room, whilst allowing easy access to dining area/kitchen. The TV as you say will be to the right of where it is in the original pic, in the corner of the feature wall near to the main door. The projector screen will still go over the bay window, with the speakers there as well with the option for 7.1. I think this idea has all the benefits of using the bay window with not many of the negatives! Having 2 sofas will also allow for changing my mind in the future haha. What do ya think? Hope that at least makes sense lol.
