Is the 560ti able to run BF3 on ultra at 1080p minus AA?
 
You probably could fit an i5 2300 build in with a relatively good GPU something like the 6850 and that will be better than llano because the cpu is much better :)

TBH i did suggest llano originally but if you fiddle around its possible to get an i5 2300 :)

Much love for Llano still though xD you can just do better with the budget.

Edit: In answer to the above grab the i5 everyday :)
 
well if you're having doubts go i3 2100 £90 + z68ap-d3 £85 (so option to drop in a unlocked k series cpu in the future and overclock if your friend wants more power) + a cheap graphics card which you can upgrade in the future. if you're thinking about puttiing in a graphics card in the future such as the 6950 then get a 550w psu rather than the 430 suggested in the llano buil.
 
Dont do llano for your main build it wont be as good. I think the llano would bottleneck you on BF3 definately grab the i5 2500k for your main build and probably the i5 2300 for your mates,

Edit : Sorry didnt see the post about you having the i5 2500k for your main build.

As stated i'm going with the 2500k for my main i'm just really interested to see how the Llano would do with a 6950 thrown in, bang for buck wise.
 
theres a 'graph' showing bf3 performance relating to the different cpus floating around here somewhere, if you want an answer to your question your best bet is heading over to the graphics card section and asking in the bf3 thread
 
I'm really drawn to the Llano for some reason now, I love the nature of the thing. I can't explain it lol. Seems like a lot of value and a great idea. Llano + a 6850 seems like a great budget gaming option..
 
if youre going to put a 6850 in your better off with an i3 2100 or i5 2300 they will both out perform llano if your going to buy a 6850 :)
 
a quad core llano with mobo wil cost the same as the i3 2100 with mobo.

From what ive heard the i3 2100 will out perform the llano.
 
if going i2300 yes but not i2100, if you have no plans on upgrading to an unlocked k series sandybridge/ivybridge in the future you can get a h67 mobo instead of the z68ap-d3 I suggested
