I would just like to chip in to repeat that the IRNV really does ruin the game imo. Part of the fun of BF games is the ability to be sneaky, unlike in CoD where you simply don't have the opportunity or scale. The IRNV completely removes any possibility of this. Stupid. I've also noticed that the game is a lot less fun the further up the unlock tree everyone goes.

Hopefully I can level up quickly as I'm getting really bored of the AK and M4.

In its current states, its a tool for the lazy average player to go easymode. Takes out the need to focus, concentrate and plan. Just watch the colour change and shoot the orange blob. Cant wait for it to be nerfed and see all the people who have got used to it fall down the points list or move on to the next item that makes them appear better than they are.

I do agree on its initial idea in making it easier to locate hidden sniper positions etc but its just being abused currently.

Task manager says BF3 is running then about 15 secs later it shuts down I've disbabled firewall and antivirus but still doing the same

Just a quick follow up to this after about 45mins of Live Chat to EA they eventually advised me to do a Clean Boot as per the link - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135 and then 1 by 1 enable the services.

Hope this anyone else with problem

I am getting fed up of being killed by IRNV, then to settle the score, get my IRNV scope out to get things back on an even keel.
Will change back to normal sights if i get killed by something other than an IRNV scope.
People running around with the F2000 with IRNV. Should be ashamed of themselves. Only seen it a few times but thats taking the urine a few times too many :)
 
I honestly don't see what the big deal is

99 times out of 100 when i'm killed by somebody with an IRNV scope its in a position that they could have seen me from anyway, even without the night vision.

Besdies, the people who rely on it will find themselves stuck when there are loads of level 45 colonels running round in Spec Ops black cammo which blocks your heat signature from these guns.
 
yep i run around in spec ops gear all the time and hardly die to IRNV.. im am getting fed up with random "bad luck" deaths and just randomly dying and saying that ive suicided! i reckon a good 20% of my deaths have been because of this gay bug! so annoying!
 
Had my 1st few games of multiplayer last night on Smogsy's server...absolutely brilliant, was in a good squad and pretty decent team play across the board. I notched up a few kills and didn't get my ar*e completely handed to me on a plate - although I've put countless hours of time into this franchise since 2004 :eek: so that must help out a bit!

I started to use the IRNV last night, just to see what all the fuss is about. Turns out it's actually rubbish medium+ range. Close combat it's good to see people hiding in bushes etc
Personally i think it made me perform worse. I'm rarely up in people's faces, i play as recon/engineer and so for me i have little use. Rather stick to my scopes with zoom.
