Don't like giving the starving kids in Africa or whatever i think as a country we already give more than enough aid to the rest of the world.

Exactly, I'm sure the Indian space programme is appreciative of the few tanks of rocket juice we've bought them because of the aid package we send over there, so the money can be freed from their own domestic aid budget as our fingers are plugging that hole. ;)

I don't do a regular thing, but I do the odd random charity event throughout the year and help out when I can. I also put quite a lot of saleable stuff in the local charity shops. These tend to be British-based or local charities rather then international ones.

That said, I clicked 'no' :D

I give on a sunday at church a few quid here and there. Truth be told I can't really give more as I simply don't have it. I'm a student without student finance, with my figures in the minus by a long way. I've got a couple hundred to my name (left of overdraft :p)

Yes, but only through sponsoring friends

And every Thursday when we win the pub quiz, we take a pint each and donate the rest to whatever local charity

I wouldn't consider myself a regular cash giver to charity. As a full time student I don't have much to give, so beyond poppys and a few other big events during the year I tend not to donate.

However, I do give up time for charity and as part of a group of friends get together to raise money for whichever charity we choose that year. Its not massive but between the group we tend to raise around £20,000 a year.

I donate to my local publican, he reimburses my donations with pints of Stella and other alcoholic beverages, its a comforatble set up TBH

Not at the moment no. I used to but can't really afford to at the moment.

Although a small percentage of money should go to charity every time I use my credit card so maybe that counts :p

I used to back home in Aus. Child sponsor monthly and an Aus wildlife or similar monthly thing as well but once I moved to the UK I stopped those as at this stage in life I would prefer to spend what little I earn on getting the best experience I can from this part of the world.

May start up again once I head home and settle again.

No regular donations. This calendar year i've probably topped £300 with sponsorships of mates etc for runs, parachute dives etc. Think the most i have given is £75 in one lump this year.

No never.

Not really, i gave some money to the Dogs Trust the other week, but that's only because dogs need money too.

Why do dogs need money? They don't even have the dexterity to hold money!

Yes, mostly though church. I also occasionally contribute direct to local charities and some of the bigger ones (more rarely). I'm skint, but there's always someone worse off tbh. :)

Back before my financial situation took a slight turn for the worse I had 6 or 7 individual donations go out each month. I sat down and specifically chose those charities based on whether the £10 per month I gave to them would actually make a difference over the period of a year.

I don't have it in me to cancel those standing orders, so still pay out each month!

Continously raise money for charities (MacMillan Cancer Support & Cystic Fibrosis Trust) doing 10k runs and in March doing Silverstone Half Marathon.

Regularly donate to these charities too and will always throw money in the collector pots at work, shops as I hate carrying around my loose change. Also when other people I know do sponsored stuff I donate to them too.

I don't do a direct debit donation or anything though. I can't afford regular payments. Depsite me being in debt for 15 years I still find time to give some charities money.

Sort of yes, sort of no, but I suppose it's mainly yes. It's not a set occurance, but as I'm part of Round Table, we're always raising money and donating it as a group. We're always sponsering members if they do their own thing, so although it's not a direct donation, the charities get it all the same.
