I had ordered a 2nd GTX 470 from OcUK so that i could run SLi, however my card was DoA and unfortuantly OcUK cannot get me a replacement and has had to refund my money.

Currently OcUK have 0 stock of GTX 470's and after spending a while on the phone have no dates or plans to get any more cards in stock, so my question is where can i buy a GTX 470 these days? I'm a bit loathed to pay £250 for one from competitors, as i bought one for £140 from OcUK.

I fancy you may see some in the MM come Xmas time, certainly I plan to sell mine if and when I get a new 7***series.;)

It's a pity the OP doesn't have MM access then.

They won't achieve the 90 days membership for MM access until towards the end of January 2012 and they'll also have to make another 245 posts by then.

Just i heads up if anyone does want to sell me one, please PM me i have tried litterally every e-retailer and with prices from £250+ that are just ridiculous.

The sad thing is i even have a spare full cover EK waterblock + backplate just sitting here waiting for the card.

I've seen one in stock though it's second hand, costs £160, which is still a little on the expensive side. Contact me if you want details.

Buy 2 gtx 560 cards for £286. Sell the two free Batman games for £18 each on ebay and sell your gtx 470 on ebay for £120 ish after fees. Total cost of going SLI is £150. Performance is almost identical, for less heat and less power and more overclocking potential.

You might have to buy the gtx 560's from a competitor to get the free Batman games.

That's what I did when I couldn't find another MSI Twin Frozr Gtx 470.

There's a MSI 470 TF II on the bay! I heard it overclocks to 800 stable though he diden't get to try in on BF3 as his 580 was already in his PC.

The guy said he had a look at the MM rules but the home shipment rules swayed him to put it on the bay. ;)

I still reckon my suggestion is better. Most 470's go for close to £150 on eBay without any warranty. My suggestion requires a bit more effort and buying cards up front, but you end up with a bit more performance and lower electric bills.
