In our lounge we are currently using Apple TV for music and a 360 as a DVD player, i've always wanted a HTPC of sorts to replace both of them with the added function of being able to use the internet. Now that I am working full time I have finally decided to replace Apple TV (which I hate) and the 360 but I am not sure what with. I want to spend as little as possible on something that I can stream music to, watch DVD's and blu-ray and surf the net on. The Revo sounds like a great option because it is so small and very easy but then again a proper HTPC sounds good because if I want to I would be able to upgrade it.

What do you guys think?

Thanks,
Flare

I have the RL100 and it's a great little HTPC. I've got it setup purely for xbmc, although i do browse the internet from time to time. The main reason i went for the RL100 is the size. It really is small. It plays blu-rays as a added bonus. Although the remote is a great "show off" tool it's a pain in the but to use sometimes.
Not had any problems playing any videos through it, 1080p no probs.

That's good to know. I think I am most likely going to go for it, the size of it is a great bonus. Having never used XMBC and seeing so much about it on here I will have a gander at it :)

I had the same option and went for a HTPC, I often wonder if the RL100 would have been a better option as it looks so slick, but with the HTPC I can upgrade the HD, Graphics, CPU anything and keep it running longer if needs be, I also play a few games on it at 1080p
