I'd agree with that, the AA is pretty lethal as it is.

I normally fly with flares, rocket pods and air radar. I don't use heatseekers (gives the game away to soon!) and the guided missile is rubbish, so although beam scanning is handy I'm not so keen on the unlocks which go with it.

I have to admit that I haven't tried rocket pods as I was told that they are very weak?? :confused:

you never have any luck witrh games do you?

im sure with Red ORchestra 2 you had major crashing issues to? or was that someone else?:confused:

if you are crashing on my server more it could be to do with the maps & i run different maps to most servers (smaller versions) maybe try a reinstall? ive found last night
Hardware accelration in firefox is killing Nvidia control driver for me now & again. maybe turn that off even if you do have ATI worth a go?

Someone else, never had crashing with Red Orchestra 2 even with the old cpu... Got a completely new system now :confused:

You've got the wrong person oh and I did the repair thing, seemed to have helped big time and it said it had a new update :D

Well, they're better than the cannon for ground attacks, and the guided missile will miss 9 times out of 10. I think if your target vehicle is moving at all the guided missile won't compensate for that fast enough, so it'll only really hit stationary vehicles, and how many of those are there?

With the rocket pods I can maybe get vehicle disable points 4 out of 5 times against a tank in a single run. If you have a long enough run up you can then switch to the cannon and finish it off. It's a bit useless against infantry, but they're not bad overall. Definitely the best ground attack weapon on the jets.
 
Any idea why my friend is able to play multiplayer without issue, and could play co-op 2 nights ago the same, yet last night could only play multiplayer because co-op would cause his computer to shutdown like it just overheated? (Doubt this to be the case, it was crashing within the first ten seconds to a minute of the game starting).

is your oc stable and i see you have a 560 ti with bf3 they dont seem to go hand in hand or there is a lot of issues so it seems


a server isnt going to be the root of your cause there set up so simple now days a 2 yr old could do it.

Me and my mates have been having trouble with co-op since they updated battlelog, just never connects. :(

PC is hardlocking now, so confusing because I only changed the realtek drivers to the xfi modded ones, decided I didn't like them and went back to my previous drivers. Hardlock = pc freeze with sound loop, full power off only solution.

Even went back to windows 7 default driver and that still hardlocked, it's not time related, can be first round or the 7th round.

I had this.

Uninstall all the XFI Modded drivers and the modified realtek one, reboot. Do a system restore back to the point before you installed the modded drivers. Then reboot again, and download and install the latest stable ones (R2.66) from the realtek website. Reboot and you are done and stable again.

Those modified ones are NOT stable and caused sound lockups and hard crashes for me

I thought you needed to be as close as possible with the pods?
 
Not a single crash or problem with my new setup, EVER!

But I only have a handful of programs and drivers installed. Trying to troubleshoot with a pc full of drivers and various programs must be a pain. Good luck guys!

think neil used them aswell maybe that maybe his cause of crashes aswell ;)

creative drivers are funny enough as it is

Still enjoying the game though still awaiting some updates to fix the unbalances.

E.g.

- Constant Mortars
- Recon over powered
- A few bugs, e.g. dead player bug a few pages back
