It really does make me wonder who pays for this kind of "report". I'm only more surprised the article didn't end with Uswitchs supposed expert saying "people should switch more often!!!!!!111"

"It really is surprising just how much broadband speeds fluctuate at different times of the day, with drop-offs of almost 70% in some areas of the UK," said Uswitch's technology expert Ernest Doku.
Stood out for me the most. Ok 70% is a large figure, but what kind of "expert" doesn't expect a large change during peak usage, in comparison to non-peak?

70%? they obviously didnt try virgin 50 meg. you get a 99.99999999% drop off with them at peak times

The peak surfing times between 7pm and 9pm were the slowest to be online, the report said.

The report suggested the best time to be online was between 2am and 3am.

I could have told them this for free, did a report really need to be commissioned for something as obvious as this ?

Obvious observation is obvious ??

We pay for 20meg, we get 7meg at peak times.

I live about 2 miles from the exchange, in a part of the city which at a time was named as Europe' largest building estate a few years back, so yeah it's unsuprising.
