The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

I've mainly only done the main story so far. I feel bad :p

At magic college now ;) Going to run off and do a TONNE of side quests and adventuring before I head back to the main story now. At a good break ;)

For anyone who killed an assassin please read spoiler:

I was attacked by an assassin who I then killed. I found the note on them saying I was to be killed. What do I do now, since nothing came up after reading the note. Any ideas?
 
Anyone playing this in 3d? what kind of performance are you getting?

Seems to be ok for me using a Gtx 470, getting maybe 40 fps average but a friend of mine says he's getting bad performance using a Gtx 570.
 
Theres just one huge stupid flaw with the entire mage guild quest ....

you just simply know from the first minute you see the big floaty orb placed inside the college that something terrible is going to happen because of it. And I've only gotten up to the bit where I got the mage circlet reward.

Meh, tags not working.
 
My darth maul/dr doom helm disappeared for some reason after I crashed. It only does the disappearing act when combined with those robes. Looks pretty cool though so I'm not fussed :p

As a friend pointed out I seem to like having broken helms in rpgs...

24 hours. Level 31 Mage, specialising in Destruction and Conjuration. Can take out most enemies before they even get close to me! Working on enchanting, illusion and restoration now.

Havent gone up to see the elders yet either, only been to Solitude, Markarth, Whiterun & Windhelm :D

Such a fantastic game!

This is true but I've started seeing vendors with Expert Robes which but magicka regen up by 125%, so I can make the assumption that Master Robes will increase it to 150% :eek:

Admittedly they might not look half as good!

The mask on the other hand is something else and looks awesome!

Happened to me earlyish game on my way to Winterhold for the first time. I was attacking a bandit and some cat lady in black clothing seemingly appeared out of nowhere and joined in. I killed them both and picked a note off the cat lady which mentioned something about the Dark Brotherhood wanting to kill me. A quest or miscellaneous objective didn't pop up, so I guess I won't know whether it bares any significance until I seek out the Dark Brotherhood, which I intend to do after completing the Thieves Guild quest line.
 
Wandering around Markarth now, unfortunately since installing 11.11 drivers my framerate can drop to as low as 15 inside cities:( I can look at 2 scenes practically identical, but get 60 fps on one and 20 on the other:confused: (changing settings makes hardly any difference, AA and AF make no difference whatsoever, neither does shadows/decal, view distances do slightly though).

I have got so many quests in my journal atm, i can't wait for a UI mod to improve it as most of the entries mean nothing to me tbh, really badly designed.


This years gaming for me summed up in 4 words- Be advised......No lollygagging;)
