I'll probably not buy it until New Year. I just know if I get it over Christmas then I'll probably spend most of my time playing it, or thinking about playing it, and it'll hinder the one period of the year where I've actually got sociable things to do every single day.

Pre-ordering, gives much more than early access.

If I get the full 5 days early access great, if not then no worries. It won't detract from my enjoyment of the overall game experience.

Are you really gonna care about the headstart a month after the game is out, no.
Im gonna be taking my sweet time with this game exploring the planets and finding the sith artifacts. Ill be reading all the database info you get and really get into the lore of this game.

Morning. FAQ about #SWTOR client - do you need to reinstall for upcoming weekend if you were playing past weekend. Answer is no.

So presumeably people with access to the client can download it now ready for the next big beta weekend.

Well the patch on Thursday is a 20 GB one, so I will delete and reinstall.
Saying that its a patch so you do not need to reinstall, tho will make for one huge file.

No, you'll have to find it yourself and you can only download it after it starts.

Of course, they said they'll let us know 10 days before it starts, but if they stick to that or change it, is anyone's guess.

I have been banking on it being next weekend also, considering it is Thanksgiving next week. It would be great if it was to start on Thursday and end Monday giving a super long weekend to test

Wait so this beta weekend is gonna be longer then 2 days?, be awesome if so, just can't really be bothered trying to download 30Gb on my crappy connection for 2 days of gaming

What do you think the chances of my laptop running this are?

Core 2 duo t6500
4gb RAM
Radeon 4570HD

I am getting a new laptop soon but it is unlikely to be before this comes out. Want to know if it's going to be worth pre-ordering or not.

Star Wars: The Old Republic requires a video card that has a minimum of 256MB of on-board RAM as well as support for Shader 3.0 or better. Examples include:

Intel 4100 Integrated Graphics or better
DVD-ROM drive – 8x speed or better (required for installation from physical editions only) Internet connection required to play.

So I would say yes you can run it. Next time please use google.
