And if I posted to show what happens when you do edit a poll in a thread and a snapshot of the most recent edit history for this thread to compare then would that stop people doubting the veracity of the poll? The answer there is no so it would be a bit pointless but it's perfectly do-able.

I don't mean to disillusion people but the idea of just messing with users here isn't the first thing that I think of when I wake up in the morning and the last thing I think of before going to bed - I suspect I'm not alone in this. That's not to say the mods don't care but there are usually other things that require attention first.

It's odd, people seem to like going for the most complicated explanations in so many instances. When something could be stupidity and a lack of consideration for instance they're more likely to see maliciousness.

In seriousness .. I don't think it's rigged. there are a LOT of people who have said 'STAY - but I'm voting LEAVE just to make the poll as close to 50/50 as I can for the lolz'. There are probably 10 times that, that have voted for the same reason but not posted.

Doesn't bother me really people can vote using whatever criteria they fancy ...

If we could see who voted for what I'd just be interested to see if, say, there were 55 new users registered in 30 minutes called 'Ianfc1, Ianfc2, Ianfc3, Ian fc4' etc that hadn't posted anywhere, but ONLY voted in the poll. I have emails CLAIMING people are doing this .. not sure if I believe them ..


I've never really been sure why voting has been anonymous on this forum anyways TBH ...

you should be able to get a list of who has voted but i dont think the log tracks what they voted
