The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

I really want to pick up another copy of WindWaker - but on eBay they are going for £25 or so. I can't justify that on a game released nearly 10 years ago!

Ooh, really? Might flog mine then, still got the gold OOT/Master Quest disc and everything :)

my Wii has been collecting dust for a long time waiting for Zelda, the only reason I bought one at launch was for TP! It saddens me that another cod game is getting far more attention than a new Zelda game, maybe it's a reflection of the disinterest in the Wii these days? Consider this post an unapologetic bump if you must :)

cool ad! I popped into my local game the other day to pre-order, but was disappointed that it was £10 more expensive in the store than advertised online. I know this is common, but I've always thought that this trend is self-defeating to a degree, if I am encouraged into the store then I may just spend more of my money while I'm there. The Internet's great, cheaper stuff, convenience etc etc, but I do miss the (very) old days when I would go into my local computer game store and discover all the new games on cassette :)

I just hope my secret santa drinks too much sherry and buys me this. Only way I'll get my hands on it as I'm moving house very soon and need all the cash I can get.

edit: I changed my mind I want the sword from the ad :D

I'm not really a Nintendo fan and I've never actually played a Zelda game, but this just got 10/10 on IGN.

Maybe it's worth a look? :p

Hmmm, I hadn't taken a look at the reviews, but the metacritic score IS looking extremely promising.
95% average over 26 reviews either says its a good game, or a lot of money has been thrown at marketing bribes... and as we're not talking an EA game, or the latest COD...

Seeing as i've never played a bad Zelda game, i'm going to go with it being good. Even the poorer of the Zelda games were still excellent, just not quite so as their best.

Thinking about picking this up on release and dusting off the wii. After all the new games didn't even realise this was coming out so soon and somehow its ended up being the one I'm looking forward to most :p

Been looking forward to this for a long time, hoping it will be as good as they say. Got it yesterday, but I am hooked on Skyrim at the moment so it will have to wait... I hope it can live up to Skyrim though...

Played about half an hour and it's a very slow start, so far I'm a bit let down but that might just be because I haven't used my Wii for ages so just using the Wiimote and Nunchuk feels a bit 'clumsy' and that's putting me off. I'm going to put in a little more time and if it still doesn't grab me then I'll just crack on with Skyrim (which I'm loving) and come back to Zelda in a couple of months.

Borrowing Wind Waker off a mate next week then going to buy this, don't feel the urge to replay through TP first though, by the time I complete WW this will be a fair bit cheaper :)

Good luck spending hours traveling across the Great Sea, collecting Rupees for rip off Tingle and map hunting. ;)

Games TM said that the first 20mins is particularly boring and it takes about 2 hours to get going.
