Spec:

Intel 2500K
Asus P8Z68-V Pro GEN3
2x Corsair Classic DDR3 4GB
Asus 560TI TOP
Overclockers 8800 GT
WD Black 500GB
120GB SSD
Optical Drive
Corsair TX850 PSU V2

Everything is at stock speeds drawing factory set voltages, yet the Corsair TX850 cooling Fan is set to its highest spin rate and not varying speeds in accordance with power draw, I've conducted the paper clip test with PSU unhooked to the rest of the rig, but the fan is still spinning at top rpm.

PSU is currently the loudest kit on my rig with the optical drive being close second.
I believe the PSU is faulty, but I would like to get opinions from everyone in here..

RMA or fan swap. I'd it's in warranty and you can be without a pSU or a while then RMA is the best, and safest option.

In the case of the fan swap you'd probably need to have tw fan powered by your motherboard, or at least a fixed speed, but lower speed than the current one.

With who ? Overclockers or Corsair :)

corsair, ive just RMA'd my H50 with them

their RMA is in the netherlands, and they wanted me to pay for shipping - well i called them and told them that it wasnt on - they sent UPS round on tuesday to collect it at their expense ;)

anyway, we'll see what they say when they get my faulty unit
