true cod4 is a hackfest but look how long its been out
look how long bf3 has been out it will either be second or third most hacked in game ever going by how many are getting banned this earlly
bfbc2 had 18,418 bans since March 2010
cod 4 had 74,344 bans since nov 2007
so if you look at it i bet there is a close to amount of hackers in bf as there is cod . when you add the undetected hacks into the mix aswell you can see its quite a problem really.

i know right? we were doing pretty decent in a tank at one point on some city map with the bridges. subject to housemate being online i should be on tonight for some more rpg spam!

Cheating is par for the course in modern games, The use of a common DX API just means that “most” cheats are easily transferred from one game to another. With BF3 hit detection being client side god only knows what could be achieved If someone broke the packet encryption (if they haven’t already). I don’t really know enough about the mechanics of code hooks and driver hacks etc but I’ve been hosting, managing and admining game servers for nearly 8 years and TBH BF3 doesn’t really seem to be any worse than BF2 / COD4 / BC2 was when they came out.
I’ll leave out BF42 and BFv as imho the majority of people playing them back then were far more concerned in having fun playing than they were rank grinding, thus cheating was a much rarer occurrence.
The banning trend will peak then start to fall off as normal. I don’t think it will get anywhere near Cod4 numbers though simply because just like BC2, I don’t think there will be many people playing it in 12 months time.

Those cod4 bans will also consist of silly kids trying to cheat in leagues, which bf3 won't have at this rate.
Been talking about this today with some mates. There seems to be some reluctance by DICE to release unranked servers even to the GSP’s. I’m starting to wonder if Blaze simply can’t do it yet. They wont even confirm to the GSP’s that unranked will be available when the “Enforced Ranked Rules” are brought in with server R9. There seems to be some confusion as to what will happen if you set your server to a setting that breaks “enforced rules” (ie player start number). Opinion as it stands now is that it simply wont start.
Think we got to 16 kills before somebody finally took the tank out
Thermal scope and vacinity scan helps with the tank a lot. Stops those sneaky people c4 you plus makes it easier to take out the rpg people before they can destroy the tank.

I kill people up to 400m.
its pretty decent balanced.
dangerous for me in close quarter, really good at close, and pretty fine up to 300m and its a fun gun.
I can play sniper also and headshot a lot but that gets boring fast.
sorry state of affairs is that a lot of the decent hacks are hard to tell if used wisely . if your not used to looking for them properly then you may assume they are jut good.
not talking about people who spin round 360 getting headshotsi on about the aimassist people and paid hacks thats people arnt catchable.
the good thing is on every hack site and i mean every hacksite there is a pb person on themso thinking they dont know about it is quite silly .
bfbc2 was one of the worst hacked games ever just cause you didnt see it they were there. bf3 will end up worse as its very popular.
seen a few hackers already, its always those that get headshot with any weapon in a particular way that seperates them from the rest, reporting and then leaving server unless an admin is there to ban them.
wished they had an adress to them in real life, I be there to spank them up.

As per last nights lag on smogsy's, mine was between 7-8 too.....come to think of it, isn't there some sort of slidey control on mumble to adjust something along the lines of quality/latency ?

i need to get ir for tank sights and upgrade stuff i must have unlocked it by now just haven't selected it.
i also tried the lmg 88 with sup and 3.4x last night it does work but i can definitely feel it takes more bullets than sans suppressor.

I really dont get the sights in this game, RDS or Iron sights are easily usable and they dont give your position away, maybe its just how I play, I tend to hug the corners and pop people in the head. Playing yesterday on bizzar I was 12-1 as medic, health kitting and reviving people left right and centre, When played with a few people that know how to play, there is no other game like it!
yeh there is a setting default i think is 44kb/s i normally use 60 though, ill look intothe server it see what i can find.
regarding goons post, if you can just put the link to mumble thread so people know where to go if they do want voice comms thats all.

Peeps playing as support but, not dropping ammo is one of my only gripes at the moment. Why play as support and not drop ammo for your team?

this! Its even worse when you stand right in their face and they act like you are just doing it to be a douche and don't even realize you need ammo.

tough don't even know the number of times I've been killed because I've run out of ammo on most guns and had to run knife first at s baddie or attempt to pick up a fallen weapon...
