The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

Does nobody else find this game incredibly bright?

Whites are blinding

Have you tried lowering the brightness? I actually had the opposite problem since I was playing in 3D from last night onwards. Sometimes it was so dark I couldnt properly see peoples faces. Once I raised the brightness the problem was resolved.

Can you add a soul trap enchantment to weapons ( bows pref). If so, how do you get it? Is there an item somewhere with it on that you can disenchant?
Yep, just tour the blacksmiths with fast travel or plant yourself at one and use the wait function for 24-48 hours to keep recheckin their stock, then just disenchant it to learn it permanently. If you dont have a house, there's a table in Dragonreach you can use.

Edit - doesn't matter what weapon you get it from btw.

many ways to join dark brotherhood.

1. on a quests you can chose to impersonate the dark brotherhood then something special happens.

2. Killing random innocents (rare chance brotherhood comes for you)

3. In keeper method some1 listed above

You can also find some kid doing the ritual. If you carry out his contact then they will contact you.

Completely just feel for the Skyrim Curse...

Was originally thinking I'd get on at half 6, start dinner at 7, get a bit of the mage quest line done...

Yeah, I ended up seeing a Dragon marker on the map, and finding a whole new shout (3 words), and Kriosos (or whatever his name is). He has an epic mask! Was a complete pain to kill though, struggled even with it on Novice! Ended up with me getting lucky as he fell down a cliff so couldn't cast on me and I ended up archerying him :)

Don't think the above counts as spoilers :p

Loving having such high sneak skill. Dagger does 20 damage, gloves have a 2x damage multiplier if attacking from behind, sneak attacks with a dagger are x15 damage...

600 damage in a single swing of a dagger! Positioning is a right bloody pain, but I'm stocked up on invisibility potions :p

Oh, and 200+ per arrow from sneak :D 60 bow damage, 18 arrow damage, 3x multi

Just came across this quote aimed at Skyrim and not following the on rails parts of the quests and thought it was hilarious :D

#1. The Worst Timing

I have yet to do a single thing in Skyrim in the proper order. I'm constantly showing up to some dude's castle that I've never seen before, only to hand over a mystical item that I'd mentally scratched off as garbage hours ago, and then sit and listen to the story be retroactively explained to me:
King: Wanderer! Thank the gods you've come! The prophecy told us that a mighty warrior would arise, worthy of wielding Fjalnir, the God-axe, and slaying the evil Demon Prince Synraith. We believe you to be that warrior. What say you, traveler? Will you accept this task?
Me: Yea, verily I shall accept thine task and vanq- wait, Synraith? Fiery dude in a floating city? Cape made out of screeching souls? Ahhh, ****. I already killed that guy.
King: You ... already slew the Demon Prince, the Knife in the Dark, the Void at the Heart of All Men, whose identity you did not learn until just now?
Me: Yup. I saw that castle floating up in the sky, and I wanted to know if I could jump up the rocks to get in the back way. It took a lot of reloads, but I finally managed to hop on up in there.
King: You "hopped on up" into the Abyssal Palace?
Me: Yeeeep, yep yep yep. Just squat-jumped on in there and looted the place. Then I killed that Sydney guy-
King: Synraith, Demon Prince of the Abyss.
Me: -yeah him. I ganked that guy. Mostly just to see if I could. Plus he looked like kind of a dick.
King: Indeed, the Foulest of the Foul was "kind of a dick." But you vanquished him without the aid of sacred Fjalnir, the God-axe?
Me: Totally. It wasn't even a thing. I just hid on top of a bookshelf where he couldn't reach me and shot him with arrows. Then I waited until he forgot I was shooting him, and did it all again to get the sneak damage bonus. Took a while, but he died all the same.
King: Forsooth! Thine heroic deeds are ... well, that sounds kind of ****ed up, actually. Never thought I'd feel bad for He Who Devours. So you have no need of our sacred totem weapon?
Me: What, the gold dealy, with the shiny bits? Nah, I already stole that out of the display case four hours ago, before I knew who you were. I gave it to Sven, but he Quantum Leaped out of the game with that ****.
King: Huh. So. I guess ... the bards will ... sing of your tale now?
Me: Oh yeah? Sweet, let's hear it.
Bard: The hero came with eyes aflame / his tasks already done / the land was rescued all the same / but 'tis kind of a ****** song.
Me: Word.

Ok couple of questions:

1. What do I do with a dragons soul after I kill a dragon?
2. What do I do with soul gems?
3. How do I buy the house in Markarth? It's my favourite city so far but the Steward who is supposed to let you buy it just gives me default dialogue with no conversation options!!!

1. You use dragon souls to unlock the words of power in Shouts. 1 soul per word and 3 words per Shout.
2. Once you use a soul trap spell to fill it with the soul of a enemy, you can use them to recharge the enchantments on weapons and stuff like that.
3. That one I dont know. I still havnt been to that city. Maybe you need to do something quest related to earn the right to buy a house, like you do in Whiterun?

46 hours in now, not been to Riften, Falkreath, Dawnstar or Winterhelm yet. Not done any guild quests at all such as Mages guild, Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild, Companions or any others there might be(?). How long will i be playing this game!!?

Also, i think i might be a vampire now. can someone tell me is there a questline involved?

I do think the UI is in desperate need of a tweak, i only hope that whoever makes the mods for it makes it configurable, because some of it doesn't need changing(such as the HUD and conversation screens imo).
Other than that i would REALLY like a mod which improves the journal screen to add more info, atm i have entries such as "go and speak to xxx" Why? who the **** are they?

Very few mods actually needed in all though tbh, Just textures and UI.

Imo this game= Extreme hype not only met, but surpassed!

Find an item with the enchant you want, take it to an enchant table and disenchant it to learn it. Then you can put it on whatever appropriate gear type you want.

Iv done that before, i was more going along the lines of permanently changing the damage of the bow i use.
