I still think the console had a direct impact on this game if this game was not on console the maps would be much bigger can the capture points spread out like they were on other battlefields. As soon bad company arrived on the console the maps were much smaller to cater for "console audience" e.i smaller maps, more kills etc.

On other battlefields if people wanted not smaller maps they join the cut down version of the maps, also its not as simply as moving the capture points if they wanted to spread them out on pc they would either have to reduce the amount of captures points or remake the maps as there is not enough terrain you can not just spread them out with 64 players unless you put in the middle of field which would be useless

Spot on, BF3 maps have got old after a week because of the linear clustered design that in noway supports 64 players well at all. What we have is maps that are more catered for rush and 24 players than conquest and 64. If Dice were not rushed to beat MW3 out they might have designed the maps like they did in BF2 that properly caters for the varying player size.

One look at the squad management is enough to see that PC got a major lack of attention during development. Hopefully all this can be corrected by Dice in patches.

This game is driving me nuts at times. Every now and then its the most fun I've ever had in a game. Then the following round I can't find anywhere to spawn that isn't in the middle of some crossfire or against a open wall with a tank facing towards me.

I can get on ok as support, get a load of kills with the M249, currently trying out the PKP. But give me any other class and I just can't kill anything, desperately trying to play engineer at the moment and can't get anywhere. I'd do more damage to enemies by calling them names. The rifles have zero stopping power and the rocket launcher is absolutely anaemic. I can fart more firepower. :(

Jets seem fine to me, helicopters seem pretty screwed though, how do you balance them vs. anti air without getting too unrealistic? Maybe if they could hit things from a much higher altitude with only planes able to reach them?

Just ran through the full Co-Op with a new friend who's system doesn't restart as soon as we boot it up :p Some really great little missions in there, shame there are only 6. Beat the **** out of the SP campaign that's for sure! Anyhow I've unlocked the KH2002 now so tomorrow I'm going to get my resupply medal and leave Support for a while, give Assault a bit more of a bash instead.

lol the attack chopper is the deadliest machine on the battlefield with a crack pilot and gunner at the helm. Pilots guided rockets and gunners TV missile in combination with the cannon and zoom optics make light work of armor/AA at a safe distance.

Had some great games on smogys server tonight nice healing MoistGremlin and great teamwork from alll

I had a couple of enjoyable games on there tonight, made a change to be able to join instead of the usual "Server is full".

Spyke_GB in game if anyone wants to add.

True I am sure in a years time Pc users will be happy it just needs some patches, so fare its a good game but it needs patches to become a great game

I agree, when I'm a chopper with a friend as a gunner as soon as we have a jet tallied that's it, it's dead. I don't care what it does, it's dead. Good thing if your gunner can actually aim and realises jets usually fly a straight, direct line towards you. Turkey shoot.

Only problem is when they come back from a respawn and you're not aware of it, most of the time they ram you in desperation.

Best tactic with all loadouts are quick, breakoff attacks, don't linger and never pop up or appear from the same location twice in a row, keep them thinking. It also helps to use anything that is tall enough as cover, like on firestorm you've got those 6 large oil silo's on the left as you look at the russian base. Perfect getaway location, I always dive down into the middle of them and circle around the silo's so jets can't shoot me.

+1
BF2 maps never felt wrong for 64 players, none of them.

I think the AA's are getting a nerf in the patch as well as Aircraft getting a bit of a buff in the reliability stakes.

Got to be a bitch to balance to be fair.

A good pilot & co-pilot in a chopper can own a map if they've unlocked enough stuff.
noooooooo the AA is already useless against upgraded planes and good pilots :(
