IRNV is basically cheating. It's like the old fashioned texture swap hacks. Loads of people running around with supressor and IRNV, even on the LMG's which is just plain daft. Supressor/silencer on an LMG? It would be blown to pieces and be useless after a few dozen rounds, not to mention it makes the thing about 6 feet long.

I dont think its a cheat ... to start with its only has 1x mag on it and
its not like its the 1st unlock to, you have to earn it 100 kills.
It not a cheat cuz everyone playing to game has a fair chance of getting one..unlike a wall hack, aim-bot, texture hack etc.
I think 95% of player change to new gun before 100 kills...If i like a gun i will use it and try to unlock ever thing for it..

I don't think its a cheat either but its not a level playing field, a new player doesn't now the map, the flow of the game or the way to use his weapon.

Not only does the IRNV guy have a weapon that gives him an advantage, he also knows the maps and game flow and how to use the weapon. This all makes it so much harder for new players to trudge up to decent unlocks while constantly being killed by people with advantages over them.

Take this example (it's to an extreme admittedly):

You have a game with 2 players, once you get 10 kills you receive the "armour of ultimate protection" which makes you invulnerable, the first player to recieve this will obviously always win and the poor second guy will never get his armour because the other player now has such an unbeatable advantage, sure its fair because player 2 can get the armour 2 (if only he could kill someone).

If games were sensible new players would start with every toy, every tool and as you gain rank/points/skill you'd have them taken away from you. At top rank you'd have a basic rifle, basic scope, no toys.

But i don't think it'd make a popular game!

bull

I use it from time to time and it has severe limitations at certain ranges and its by no meens the most used sight i come across that would be the acog
while playing still finding myself back on the holo sight more and more

as for the unlocks and people having the advantage again bull take assualt once you unlock the m416 and get a sight you are instantly on a par with anyone weapon wise even before that both starter guns can more than hold there own

The one nerf they should give the irnv is a slower aim time and thats about it

what you said.

I think thats dragging it to a whole new level and clearly its nothing like that, whilst i don't like the scope its not for the reasons most seem to state. the scope has its plus points, granted. However for me it don't sit well with RDS/CQC contacts which is the way i play so the scope is a little pap in my eyes. Holo/red dot all the way.

Lol what a strange and utterly wrong analogy!

IR restricts your view, is longer to sight in and other sights, but in no way makes you invincible.

I dont use it, it restricts my vision and just feels worse than other sights, give me the holo or reflex any day

I see what you are saying dude...
But then all the unlocks for the tank, chopper, airplane and all unlocks for all guns give a advantage to player that have played more than the new player...
so do nerf all unlocks? have them all unlocked at the start?
