lookign for a tv series - abit vague sorry

during playing band of brothers by dire straits , my dad mention he remembered watching a tv drama series about 20 years ago about soldiers returning ( he thinks ) from Northern Ireland . and loved it , and would like to see it again

somethng all the name of Band of Brothers , but hes not sure ....trying to find out exact name and if this is availabel on dvd / even vhs

if anyone can coem up with any info that would be great

yeah i been looking on imdb .......my dads discription is pants lol .....i did mention this to him , and peter o-tooles in it as well , but he cant remember ... told me coem back to him tmoz ....lol
