I recently had a few days in Dorset and stayed in Corfe Castle. Lovely little chocolate box village (I've never understood that saying? ) well worth a visit if you haven't. Corfe Castle itself is stunning, but typically we did all our activities in the first few days and left going to see it until our last morning which was rather wet and dreary :p Instead of coming out with flat/grey snaps I thought I'd do a bit of 'heavy' processing. What does everyone think? :)

The best my D50 and Sigma 70-300 combo could do in such dreary conditions..

Not sure I'm keen on the processing in the top bunch - the pictures themselves are a bit fiddly and I think the processing adds to the confusion a little. I didn't even notice the person in #7757 until a second take. It's personal taste though.

The Lulworth Cove ones are good, #7645 is my pick as I like the colours. Shame about the sky but there's not a lot you can do about that apart from keep it to a minimum.

#7659, the one you're not sure about, is actually my favourite. Strong lines and I think the high contrast black and white works well. Very Ansel Adams. :)

I quite liked the 'fiddly'-ness of them, my idea was to try to add to that. Like you say I'm not sure if it really works though. :)

Thanks. It is growing on me, and having looked up Ansel Adams (!) that's exactly what I was aiming for. Glad it comes across. I think it might look better printed and on a wall than on Flickr!
