Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Thought so, Sledgehammer fail.

What engine is the MP on? Just looked seems its an improved version of the MW2 one allowing 60fps all the time.

I wonder what the new goldeneye is like, that looks more like COD on the videos I have seen

Bakkara - Yep Team Defender on that map is not so hot I'm guessing it was the building at the top of the hill in line with the wall that you can see from the turret on the chopper.

Also you don't actually have to have the flag to win at team defender as your score only increases at kill + 20 if you have the flag so you can infact win the game without having the flag once, coy players will use hardline pro and hold on to the flag as each + 20 counts as an assist so therefore adds to your killstreak or whatever you may have on.

I just can't seem to get into this game.

I want to like it.

but if i play it on my own i just keep getting shot in milliseconds from people i haven't seen. The guns just seem to kill so quickly, as others have said its pure twitch gameplay.

Give it time tbh, When I started I was the same going insane on the maps walking around like a headless chicken as I had no idea where I was going and was getting raped everywhere lol.

Now im pretty familier with a lot of the maps and k/d has increased up to 2.0 from like 0.80 lol. Once you learn the maps you will learn to enjoy it as you know where to go, what to do etc. And a lot of this game is based on teams imo, a lot of the time your team is trash, i.e. if enemy puts a heli up no one bothers to shoot it down they'd rather get raped.

I am very up & down in mp and just have no real consistency , i was playing the other night and had a 19 - 3 game then the next was 8 - 16 using the same weapon and against the same people , have any of you prestiged or are going to ???
 
It seems to have calmed down now, whether that is because I know the maps a little better now or people have generally stopped running around like headless chickens I dont know.

I really enjoyed it the other night and I wasn't in a team.
 
Modern Warfare 3 is fantastic game, anyone who says otherwise is just hating for the sake of hating in my opinion...! the campaign, all though short (just like other Modern Warfare games) is fantastic and fast paced, the levels are also fantastic, multi-player is fantastic as always, great game!

however, and it is an enormous however, was playing some Big Team games (Warzone?) today, and for three rounds running there was someone on the opposing team getting 40 - 50 kills a round, why you ask? because they were running around underneath the level, impossible to see or hit. seems hacking has returned, first one I have encountered but needless to say they were reported and put on my avoid list, why do people have a need to just mess things up for everyone, tossers...! :(

You seem to have given no reasons for this opinion? The SP is as expected for a COD, good although bringing nothing new. It's the MP people have issues with.

Did you invest much time in the previous COD games online?
 
Looking to pick this up tomorrow, where is the cheapest place to go? I have noticed in store that a few places have gone up in price! Went to sainsburys at lunch and it was £44.99!
 
The maps are appalling, they spoil it.

There is no rhyme or reason to the multiplayer either. Every improvement made in black ops has just been totally ignored and thrown out, weapon balance makes no sense whatsoever, killstreak system is a joke.

There were 5 enemy UAVs out at once earlier on a Kill Confirmed match, support means you have to run Assassin. Akimbo machine pistols are insanely good.

I got 12 kills in a row, and the killstreaks seem to carry on?

So 2 UAV> 4 Pred > 6 chopper and repeat. However I only got to use 1 Pred and 1 chopper then I had no killstreaks left???
