Any idea how to get led notifications on for missed calls? I have it working for texts but nothing else yet.

Is this on the bottom of the phone yeah? Ive not managed to see it yet...

Yep i've had quite a few notifications that I've noticed due to the light.

I don't know how it compares with other notification LEDs though, might be crap, but I think it's good :)

RE Best Video Player :

DicePlayer - was the only thing that worked properly on my Asus Transformer and now also works on the GN
Uses Hardware Acceleration

RE Notification Light
Much better then on any HTC device
Its nice and big, Measure 3mm in diameter
Very Clear in all lights, Not too bright in the dark so it dosnt illuminate the room but very noticeable

For using this phone as a modem via tethering -

- Is this function supported out of the box?
- Does it require rooting or can I simply connect my phone via USB and connect to the net?

I already have an easytether license anyway so it doesnt matter much.

What notifications do you recieve? So far ive only seen notifcations for texts and football results from livescores.

I really need missed calls notifications grrr! I had this on my desire and it was very useful!

Theres is an option in settings for tethering and mobile hotspots etc. Im not sure for usb tethering but wifi tethering works beautifully.

Oh they never worked for me either. I had to use QQ player to play them. Very stuttery though so its not really possible to play mkv files yet...

Oh wow that just sucks so hard Lol. Was really hoping it was a Samsung phone it would have their excellent video file type support :(.

I bought mine today from a 3 store only to get home and find pictures of the inside of the store in the gallery from the previous day. Is it normal that Three sell what is essentially a used second-hand handset for full price?

By wifi tethering do you mean wifi to the Phones 3G internet, or wifi to the home broadband?

I need connection via my sim card, not via the home broadband.

Mobile hotspots is connection through another broadband service, not through the phones 3G isnt it?

I would take it back

Sorry i should have been more clear. 3g tethering through my phones sim card. Proper tethering mate. I can use my phone as a wifi hotspot so my laptop essentially sees a wireless network which is my phones 3g sim card. Exactly what youre after.

So.......what are peoples impressions now that they have had it 24hrs???

Any issues?
Good points?
Bad points?

knit-picking issues??

Really would like to know. Many thanks!!!

I think it is a great phone but doesnt really have anything over the SGS2 which I also have. I think an SGS2 with ICS would be just as good minus the NFC. I prefer the form of the GN though.

I really do like ICS but my only gripe would be I cant get any video player to play a wmv file.
