This is my first post/thread, im new to all this!

I recently purchased the sapphire HD 6770 and have been very happy with it, i'm a moderate gamer so dont need anything much more powerful.

However! Ive been offered the Pailt GTX 460 1GB Sonic for £65. I know the card will out perform the 6770 but I have read an awful lot of bad things about the overheating and noise generated by this card!

Will this be a worthwhile upgrade or shall I just stick to me 6770?

Any help would be great!

Thanks!

The 460GTX are great and very good for overclocking, if you want to play games at higher fps go for it, but if you're happy with you 6770 there''s no point.

Are you sure it's a 6770 and not a 5770?

460 Vs 5770 offers a decent boost and that's before you OC the 460. Spec in my Sig (although it's a Gigabyte card) runs the card on stock volts without any bother.

Yeah its the 6770, only had it a few weeks. Do you think 65 is a decent price considering the bad things people have been saying about the Palit? Lack of heatsink etc

65 is a great price for a GTX 460. I don't know about the palit sonic 460 but in general they run pretty cool and overclock very well. I'd say get it. And then sell ur 6770.

Yeah i thought it seemed like a good price. Might just see how bareable the noise levels are when it arrives.

Anyone interested in it if decide its not for me!?
