Just how good is Microsoft Security Essentials?

There's a thread for this sort of stuff.

Non of you see my post I take it?

Antivirus threads and posts belong;

here = http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18115179

What does the thread title say?

**********The All New Official OcUK Anti-Virus Program Thread - KEEP ALL AV QUESTIONS IN HERE**********

Take it MSE doesn't apply to that thread then eh? ;)

get back in the apple section!

anyways, my nod32 licence is up, and im thinking about switching over, i do install MSE on all my client computers, i guess its fairly lightweight resource wise

I jumped from McAfee to Norton to AVG to MSE, each time due to bloat, MSE doesn't seem to suffer as yet, maybe they've learn't something at last.

I'm on NOD32 as well - recommend MSE to all my friends who don't want to pay for AV software, but I'm not moving. As above though - I still rely on other software like malwarebytes to give additional layers of protection.

+1

I think for recommending a free AV to friends/family, MSE is the winner. But I've not found a reason to move from NOD32 personally. It's been brilliant for me for many many many years now. :)

Don't post when I don't know what I'm talking about? You take an image.... that is took from one of the companies own tests and that company comes out top.

You having a laugh kid?

But the research is done by a third party (as far as I can see).

And the "kid" remark is just laughable coming from someone who is not even 30 years old.

Do you talk like that to anyone who's just a bit younger (or even not) than you?

oh quick, some tests were done I better change over to Emisoft. Quick post the results on ocuk so everyone can see, quick quick quick. It's ok I'm on a mac.

What? You start by calling me "son" and then you act like a child?

You posted bad advice, I corrected you. Accept it.

By the way I don't rate Emsisoft, if that's what you took from my post you missed the point.
