Thanks to all who've mentioned that the beta is available. Good job I wasn't waiting for EA/Bioware to contact me!

I have the client from the last beta, worth downloading again, or just patch?
You can patch, depending on when your "last beta" actually was.
I think the simple thing is to see if the launcher works or not.
It was about a month back. I opened the launcher last night, it is the new one, put in my username and password and it just said this username and password is not valid. It’s the same one I use to access the member page on swtor website.
I really enjoyed the Jedi Consular, I went Sage.
Smuggler is on the top of my list for the Republic, Imperial Agent for the Sith, but i thought i'd test out the Jedi support classes as well to see how they perform.
Have you set your security questions and answers? If not, you need to, or that will happen.
Read the official forums, it helps for the most of these question.
Will roll Empire as my main, not sure what though. I normally tank, tanked in Wow, Rift and LOTRO. I played Sith Jug on last beta, but thinking this time I will heal or support. Not sure which classes do support? I also want to use lightsabre

I listed the support classes, as that's the role i love in MMO's, the other support roles fall into tank if you class a tank as support, there appears to be debuff roles as well in some classes too.
ah ok cheers. I might play Sith Inquisitor then at least I get to keep my sabre!
Sage is great about the worst player to play against in PvP, decent damage and great healing, I will either roll sage as main or trooper tank, depends what required.
I tend normally in all MMO's to roll a healer as main then a tank as second, but then I also call all my mains Nemeses (to late to report who I am now) but I don't like the voice on the male Con, so thats why a bit stuck on main
..Nemeses just don't suit a female

I use the same name for all my toons, male, female dont bother me!
